Australia finished day two at 165/4 and trail England by 137 runs after England was bowled out for 302 in the first innings courtesy visitor’s inexperienced middle-order, as James Vince and David Malan scored solid half-centuries.

Vince scored 83 on day one, whereas, Malan scored 56 and was dismissed by Mitchell Starc. For Australia, Starc and Pat Cummins picked three wickets each and Nathan Lyon picked up two wickets in the innings. Australia in the first innings lost three early wickets, as debutant Cameron Bancroft failed to impress and David Warner and Usman Khawaja also fell early.

Shaun Marsh then joined the Aussie captain Steven Smith to steady the innings. Smith and Marsh were involved in an 89-run partnership and stayed unbeaten at the end of the day.

Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first in the second Test played at the NCA Stadium in Nagpur. Sri Lanka went in with an unchanged team, while India made three changes to their side, as Murali Vijay, Ishant Sharma and Rohit Sharma came back to the playing XI.

Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been released from the squad due to personal reasons, whereas, Mohammed Shami is struggling with a side niggle. The Sri Lankan team was bundled out for 205. Ishant Sharma who was making a comeback picked up the three wickets along with Ravindra Jadeja.

Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers picking up four wickets. At stumps, India was 11 for one.


FC Cologne Vs Arsenal

Arsenal was handed a shock defeat at the hands of Cologne, as they conceded a penalty in the 62nd minute and lost the match 1-0. Despite the loss, Arsenal has topped their group as Red Star Belgrade, and BATE Borisov drew 0-0.

Everton Vs Atlanta

Everton was handed a massive defeat by Atlanta at home, as they lost 5-1 to the Italian side. The result was the heaviest home defeat by an English team in the Europa League. Everton has just one point from five games which is the worst record by an English side.


Hong Kong Open

Saina Nehwal Vs Chen Yufei

Saina Nehwal got knocked out of the Hong Kong Open, as she lost to Chen Yufei 18-21, 21-19, 21-10 in the first meeting between the two players. PV Sindhu is the only Indian remaining in the tournament.
