India Vs New Zealand 2017, Second ODI, Pune

India defeated New Zealand by six wickets in the second ODI at Maharashtra Cricket Association stadium in Pune courtesy a perfect game by the Indian team. India levelled the series 1-1 with the final match to be played in Kanpur. New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first, but the decision backfired as they lost early wickets and were restricted to 58 for 4 in the 16th over. For India, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up three wickets giving away 45 runs in his ten overs. India had a comfortable run chase. Shikhar Dhawan and Dinesh Karthik scored fluent half-centuries to guide India to a comfortable win. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was adjudged the man of the match.
FIFA under-17 World Cup 2017, Brazil Vs England, 1st Semi-Final

England defeated fan favourite Brazil 3-1 to progress to their first ever under-17 World Cup final thanks to second successive hat-trick Rhian Brewster. England took the lead in the 11th minute, but Brazil hit back in the 20th minute. England then scored two more courtesy Liverpool youngster Brewster.

FIFA under-17 World Cup 2017, Mali Vs Spain, 2nd Semi-Final
Spain booked an appointment with England in Saturday’s final courtesy a brace by Abel Ruiz in a match surrounded by a huge controversy. The talking point of the match came half an hour before the final whistle as Mali was denied a goal when a shot from Oumar Doucoure’s hit the bar and went in before spinning back out. The referee was unable to spot the goal. The Mali coaching staff, expectedly, was furious at the decision.
CARABAO CUP
Chelsea Vs Everton
A goal each from Antonio Rudiger and Willian secured the quarter-final spot for Chelsea as they defeated Everton 2-1. This was Everton’s first match under temporary manager David Unsworth. The match had two injury minute goals.
Tottenham Hotspur Vs West Ham United
The Wembley hoodoo struck Tottenham Hotspur again and bowed out of the tournament as they lost their two-goal advantage they attained in the first half through Sissoko and Dele Alli. Andre Ayew scored two goals in the second half and Ogbonna scored the winner in the 69th minute to register one of the exceptional comebacks.

Carolina Wozniacki Vs Simona Halep
Carolina Wozniacki defeated world number one Simona Halep 6-0, 6-2 to reach WTA finals Semi-finals in Singapore.
Karolina Pliskova Vs Gabrine Muguruza
Third seed Karolina Pliskova beat Gabrine Muguruza 6-2, 6-2 to qualify for the semi-finals of the WTA Finals.

Kidambi Srikanth progressed to the second round of the French Open Super Series as his German opponent retired at 0-3 in the opening game.
