Kabbadi World Cup 2016: India outplays Bangladesh

India defeated Bangladesh by 57-20 in their third group match of the Kabbadi World Cup 2016 played at Ahmedabad, Gujarat on 11th October. In the first few minutes Bangladesh gave a tough challenge to level the score at 4-4 but after that, the Indian team dominated the rest of match and won it easily.

In the first half, Anup Kumar was tackled which gave Bangladesh the first point of the match. Pardeep Narwal then gains a point for India to level the score at 1-1. Sandeep Narwal comes to raid and takes a point and a 2-1 lead. Bangladesh does an empty raid which was followed by Pardeep Narwal being caught. Anup Kumar takes the lead for India but Bangladesh raider comes with and was caught. After being 4-4 the Indian team dominated. In the 12th minute, India got Bangladesh all out to take a commanding 14-5 lead. India continued to dominate Bangladesh and effected the second all out of the match in the 18th minute to take a 25-9 lead. At the end of first half, India led 27-10.

In the second half, India played excellent Kabaddi and never allowed Bangladesh team to a make comeback. In the 9th minute India all out Bangladesh for the third time to take a commanding lead of 39-15. In the 17th minute of India all out Bangladesh for the fourth time which gave India a huge lead of 52-18.

Ajay Thakur was the most successful raider of the match with 10 points, followed by Pardeep Narwal with 8 points. Bangladesh raider Munishi succeeded with 5 points.  India gave Surender Nada, Nitin Tomar, and Kiran Parmar a chance to contribute in the match.

With this win, India are on top of points table with 11 points. They will play their next match against Argentina on 15th October.
