The pro-wrestling fraternity has been buzzing since the news broke out that Brock Lesnar will head back towards the Octagon after a long time since his association with WWE got renewed in the year 2012. At the UFC 200 pay-per-view, he will compete against Mark Hunt on July 9th. WWE has clarified that upon competing at the UFC pay-per-view, he will be available for the biggest event of the summer, Summerslam. But, the question arises, who will be worthy enough to go toe-to-toe against the beast? The problem arrives with his booking as WWE portrayed him as an unstoppable force and he has already squared-off against almost every single who’s who in today’s world. So, right now the options are just a few. Nobody in the present WWE roster stands a chance against the man who has not been pinned in WWE since Wrestlemania 29. So, who will be given with almost impossible task? Here are the top 3 options:
Bray Wyatt
The Eater of the World has yet to deliver big time and perhaps the dues can be filled by making this rivalry in fruition. There are no concrete reasons why the Wyatt vs. Lesnar rivalry which was fuelled at the pre-Wrestlemania stage, got nixed. Wyatt has a stable with him which means he can make himself safe from the wrath of the beast with his dirty games, as seen earlier. With the singles matches which he would have against Lesnar will make him look even stronger which further will make him the main event player. He is yet to get his hands to any championship in WWE and this rivalry will push him towards the championship race. All WWE needs to book Wyatt stronger upon return so that the main event slot can be filled at the Summerslam pay-per-view.
Randy Orton
The veteran still has plenty to offer to the company. The Apex Predator can offer a great showdown against the beast, to say the least. After finishing his stint as the first-ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Orton was literally empty handed with poor bookings and since after having a surgery he is sidelined for almost 8 months now. So, the Viper needs someone strong competitor to his level and who better than the war machine that Brock Lesnar is. The easy working style of Orton is just what needed to stop the force of the beast. While Lesnar works with pure raw power, Orton uses his cunning tactics and “outta nowhere” moves to bounce back, which is great for the feud. Furthermore, Brock Lesnar will not have to regret if he has to be pinned by Orton at some point. So, with that being said, we just want to get back the “Legend Killer” back in full force.
Roman Reigns
Don’t you think these two have some unfinished business from Wrestlemania 31? After all after that “match of the year” we still did not get the winner. Besides, who better to pin “The Beast” than “The Guy”. On the contrary, if Roman holds the title till Summerslam, who better to take it from him than Brock Lesnar. It is the championship which Lesnar never lost at the first place at Wrestlemania. Perhaps the only match up against the power of Brock Lesnar is none other than Roman Reigns, the only man who was on the verge to pin the beast which got cut short by Seth Rollins. Re-fuelling the rivalry will provide us a spectacular main event for Summerslam 2016 whereas WWE will probably find someone worthy for the beast or toppling “The Guy” from the “Roman Empire.”
