AEW Dynamite moved to TBS Network during this week’s episode from their original home of TNT. The inaugural episode which also marked the first one for Dynamite for 2022 offered three title matches on the card with one of them being for the inaugural TBS Championship crowning.

Over on this week’s AEW Dynamite, the two finalists of the TBS Championship Tournament, Jade Cargill and Ruby Soho collided in a one-on-one matchup to determine the inaugural champion. In what appeared to be a back and forth battle the two women gave their absolute best.

In the end, the undefeated Jade Cargill continued with her streak and emerged victoriously. She will now go down in the history as the first TBS Champion in the history of All Elite Wrestling.

Jade Cargill entered this week’s AEW Dynamite episode with her manager, Mark Sterling, by her side. Her recently debuted partner on AEW Dynamite, Mercedes Martinez was absent at the beginning of the match.

But during the mid-part of the match, Martinez ran out to the ring to launch an attack on Ruby Soho who was already dealing with a hurt shoulder. Thunder Rosa then came out from the backstage area and entered the ringside area to attack Martinez as they brawled out of the arena. Sterling was also ejected from the ringside by referee Aubrey Edwards for interference.

The closing moments of this historic AEW Dynamite match saw Ruby Soho coming up with some offensive maneuvers, including her No Future kick finisher. But Cargill used her power to regain control and then hit her finishing move, Jaded off the top rope to pin Soho for the 3-count and become the first-ever TBS Champion.
