Big E Says His Feud With Apollo Crews Was Not Perfect
Apollo Crews challenged Big E WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 37. The match was cool, it was more of a traditional babyface vs. heel match and it was mostly dominated by E since he was the babyface. Apollo won the match with an assist from the debuting General Azeez who wrestled as Dabba Kato in RAW Underground.
The feud did not continue for long after that none of the wrestlers having any steady feud right now. The intercontinental championship was not being valued very much after WrestleMania as two major pay per view event took place and the night was not defended in either of them.
The former two times WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E recently featured as a guest on Ryan Satin’s Out Of Character podcast where he said that his feud against Apollo Crews for the WWE Intercontinental Championship that took place recently was not perfect. He said;
“Umm, it hasn’t been perfect. I’ll say I think he’s extremely talented. He’s a guy who I have enjoyed seeing him step up. He’s a guy if you’re paying any attention, you always knew, he’s extremely talented, he can do a bunch of things.
“He’s this weird hybrid who can do it all and has a great look. He’s a guy who I feel like we have great chemistry in the ring and we had never really done much of anything, maybe like a random six-man or a tag, until this past year.
“He was always a babyface, I’d been a babyface for a long time, so it’s just been rewarding to see him step up and to kill it. He and I have done a good job in-ring. I’m pleased with what we brought to the table.”
