The LWO aka Latin World Order was recently reformed in WWE after 24 long years. It had been a very famous faction from the WCW but it remained alive for only a number of months during its original life span. WWE Hall of Famer and late great Eddie Guerrero was the leader of the group.

The group did not live for long as it was Defunct in only a number of months time. Fans almost forgot about the group until recently it was reignited. One of the original members of the faction, Rey Mysterio proposed to reform the group with new members. He took the members of the Legado Del Fantasma with himself and restarted the group.

Embracing Heritage: Former Champion Explains the Impact of LWO Merchandise on Latin Culture

From the very first day of the reignition of the LWO, it had been a huge fan favourite faction and it is selling a lot of merchandise as well. WWE officials are extremely happy with the progress of the faction so far and it looks like that it would live for longer than everybody expected.

Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Zelina Vega who is a member of the faction recently talked about the return of this famous group and explained how amazing it had been so far. She also explained how the merchandise of the group represented the Latin culture. Speaking with the Superstar Crossover recently, Zelina Vega said;

“There’s So Many Different People Who Want To Be A Part Of It Now” – Zelina Vega

“So, it’s funny, before I even knew it was going to be a thing, I had suggested that we do that. It’s obviously really cool to be doing this and having the Mexico colors, but there’s so many other people who are gonna want to be a part of this, you know? Not just me as a Puerto Rican woman, but also fans, who are gonna say like, ‘I want the Puerto Rican version.’ Maybe there’s a Cuban version, there’s so many different people who want to be a part of it now. I just think it’s such a cool thing.

“I had sent them my version. Mine had the star, which is the tattoo I have. They’re like, ‘Oh, my God, I wish that we would have talked to you before we did it,’ but they showed me their version. I was like, ‘This is insane that this is real life right now’ that we’re actually having the LWO in general, but now also a Puerto Rican version. I’m so honored. There are so many things that I looked at and say, ‘My god, I’m so blessed to be a part of this,’ especially with the crew that I have. I’m so blessed.”

The LWO has mostly been a babyface stable so far and one of its key members Santos Escobar looks to have a very bright future lying ahead of himself in WWE. We hope to see more members getting added to the faction, which would give other wrestlers more screen time and things can go more interesting as well.
