Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer “The Snake” Jake Roberts who is also a former two times NWA World Television champion recently looked back at the issues between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. He also talked about the Kliq in WWE.

Jake Roberts is vastly considered as one of the most underrated stars in professional wrestling history. He was extremely talented but unfortunately he never got the right treatment from the world of professional wrestling, not from any promotion ever.

Jake Roberts Recalls The Issues Between Shawn Michaels And Bret Hart

He started his professional wrestling career way back in 1974 and had a really long career in the world of pro wrestling. In 1986 he joined WWE for the first time in career and spent 6 years in the promotion. He featured in feuds with some of the biggest names in WWE history. He even faced the Undertaker at WrestleMania VIII.

In 1992 he left WWE and had a very short career in WCW. In 1996 he returned in WWE for only one year time. Since 1999 he is active on the independent circuit and he still makes sporadic appearances for independent rings. He appeared in WWE for a number of occasions too. In 2014 he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Roberts has joined the All Elite Wrestling upon the formation of the promotion and he is going quite strong. He is still active in the independent circuit and he is doing really good in the ring even at the age of 67.

“I didn’t fit in. I wasn’t part of The Kliq. I’ve never been a cliquey guy, man. I don’t believe in cliques. I think they’re wrong, I think they’re wrong for the business. Friendship is one thing, but when you start trying to run a company by your influence and forcing people to do things that they don’t want done because you have the power, it’s not good.”

“When I first heard about that, I said, ‘Vince, fire both of them motherf***ers. Fire both, man. They’re not helping your f***ing company. They’re jacking your company off. They’re playing you.’ Are you kidding me?”
