WWE Raw star and a former three times WWE NXT North American champion Johnny Gargano who is also a former WWE NXT champion recently talked about the wrestlers he would love to have as his WrestleMania opponents. He named Tommaso Ciampa, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio as his dream WrestleMania opponents.
Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa had been a famous rivalry from the NXT and it is considered as one of the biggest rivalries of the NXT. The duo started their NXT career as a tag team and together they were famously known as The DIY. They even won the NXT Tag Team Championship one time.

But Ciampa betrayed Gargano and it started a feud between the duo and it’s turned out to be one of the best feuds in the history of the NXT. Now as both of the wrestlers are in the main roster and both are working on Monday Night RAW, we can definitely experience in new angle between this Duo. Maybe a reunion of the DIY, or maybe a dream match between this duo at a stage like WrestleMania.
Apart from his old friend Ciampa, Gargano named some other wrestlers for his dream WrestleMania opponent as well. Seth Rollins, AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio are his dream opponents for WrestleMania. Some of the matches took place on the independent circuit, but these matches taking place in a WWE ring, especially at a stage like WrestleMania would be nothing less than a dream.
Johnny Gargano who is also a former WWE NXT champion recently spoke to WWE – Die Woche where he talked about the wrestlers he would love to have as his WrestleMania opponents. He named Tommaso Ciampa, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio as his dream WrestleMania opponents. He said;
“Oh boy, man. That’s tough [Gargano responded when asked who he’d like to face at WrestleMania]. Obviously, I just listed off a bunch of dream matches for me. I know there’s a lot of people out there that also in the grand scheme of things would love to see me and Tommaso [Ciampa] have a WrestleMania match.
“Our story throughout the years is obviously very well documented and the fact we never really got to end our story how we wanted to on a big stage. I mean there is no bigger stage than WrestleMania and what a story that could be told there if me and Tommaso actually had a WrestleMania match one year.
“That would be incredibly cool for both of us and for our story but it’s also, you know, I’ve mentioned a lot of guys already; Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, Edge, Randy Orton, the list goes on and on and on. There’s so many great talent out there. I’m not gonna peg myself into one spot and, ‘I want this match at WrestleMania’ because there’s so many different matches there could potentially be.”
