Possible Mixed Tag Team Match Including Edge And The Miz For WrestleMania 38

At the Day 1 pay per view event earlier this Saturday, WWE Hall of Famer and the former eleven times WWE world champion Edge squared off against the former two times WWE World Champion The Miz for the first time in the history.

The match had a lot of things going. The first half of the match was not upto the mark as it was quite boring. Then slowly it picked up pace. Miz’s wife Maryse was in his corner who kept on assisting him illegally throughout the match. At a point she almost assisted her husband towards victory.

Suddenly WWE Hall of Famer and former three times WWE Women’s champion Beth Phoenix who is the wife of the Rated R Superstar Edge appeared and scared Maryse off of the ring side. Thanks to this incident, her husband was able to capitalise on the situation as he pinned Miz with a Spear.

It is quite obvious that this feud is not over yet and it is likely to continue till WrestleMania 38. But it does not seem like that this duo will face each other in a one on one match at the grandest stage of them all. Of course there might be one or a couple one on one matches between the duo, but it looks like it is not happening at Wrestlemania 38.

As it stood, WWE is may be planning a mixed tag team match between the former two times WWE World Champion the Miz and his wife Maryse vs the former eleven times WWE world champion Edge and his wife Beth Phoenix. The match has already been booked for Royal Rumble, at WrestleMania 38, we might see a rematch.

‘The Miz and Mrs’ were also involved in the last mixed tag team match of Wrestlemania which was scheduled for WrestleMania 33 against the former sixteen times WWE World Champion John Cena and her former partner Nikki Bella. The match was won by Cena and Nikki.

So how interesting the match would be? To be honest this is not going to be anything special that it that it had to be booked at WrestleMania and there is no other stage worthy of holding it. But of course it would be more interesting than a plain one on one rematch between the duo.

Besides it has some fun facts about it as well. This is going to be the first time that Edge and Beth Phoenix would be teaming up with each other for a mixed tag team match. It is surely not going to be the best match of the event but it would be one interesting piece to look at.
