Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg Brian James who is also a former six times WWE Tag Team Champion recently talked about the current WWE United States Champion Austin Theory and praised him. He talked about his potential and discussed how big he could become in the near future.

Theory was mostly a jobber back in his time during the NXT. When he was drafted to Monday Night RAW last year, nobody expected a huge poor for him on the main roster. But WWE had big plans for him after he was drafted into the main roster. At a point It looked like he is being built has the next face of WWE.

Road Dogg Praises Austin Theory And Discusses His Potentials

He had been portrait as the protégé of Vince McMahon who himself took the responsibility of pushing him as a potential main event star. In a very short amount of time he achieved a lot in WWE. At first he won the WWE United States Championship, then he went to win the WWE Money in the Bank contract, he even had his own match at WrestleMania 38.

But recently Vince McMahon announce his retirement from his role in WWE. It seemed uncertain if he would be pushed on the same way by the new Head of Creative Triple H. The scare got real when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on United States Champion Seth Rollins and failed.

WWE faced massive criticism for burying Money in the Bank and everybody also feared that Theory might be buried as well. But on the very next week he came back stronger and went through a total gimmick change. After his recent United States title win it was pretty clear that WWE did not give up on his push yet.

Road Dogg Brian James who is also a former six times WWE Tag Team Champion recently spoke on his Oh You Didn’t Know Podcast where he talked about the current WWE United States Champion Austin Theory and praised him. He talked about his potential and discussed how big he could become in the near future. He said;

“If you think about Austin Theory, working on TV a bunch, having great matches but hadn’t won any of them, I don’t think about that. This is where I’m going to anger more people with, is Austin Theory is putting on some, as the kids say, bangers. Don’t you get over by having great matches?

“If wrestling is so good, profitable, and marketable, then why isn’t his ability to wrestle greatly getting him over? I would argue that it is getting him over. The kid is a stud athlete, good-looking, and can go. Sure he’s losing some matches. So has Seth Rollins, and so has everybody. Get mad at me, internet; his character is getting established and he’s going to put on great wrestling matches.”
