The rumours were there for quite some time regarding Kurt Angle returning to the company after almost one decade. It turned out to be true after WWE officially inducted him into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2017. WWE channelled a video package last night to let it know to all of the WWE Universe.

The news broke out at ESPN for the first time after they disclosed it was none other than the returning Kurt Angle who will be the first ballad Hall of Fame inductee for this year’s edition. Furthermore, WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative Paul “Triple H” Levesque posted the following on his Twitter account.

He welcomed back the former Olympic Gold Medalist and the six-time world champion. Angle replied back saying he is returning to his home turf after a long time. This was Triple H’s comments:
“Kurt Angle’s accomplishments both in the Olympics and WWE were extraordinary. He was one of the most gifted athletes to ever enter the ring, and we are honoured to welcome him into the WWE Hall of Fame.”

It was evident that there were talks between WWE and Angle for quite some time. This announcement cemented the fact that he will be returning to the company in due course.

However, we still don’t know whether he will be back in the WWE for a full in-ring capacity or not. The main concern for him is his broken neck which might cause him to never get back into physical capacity.

Meanwhile, the pro-wrestling Universe was overwhelmed with this news and reacted on twitter:
