Brock Lesnar is one of the biggest legends of WWE who was introduced into the main roster back in 2002. He received a monster push upon joining the main roster and it is believed to be biggest ever push in WWE upon joining the main roster. He is still one of the biggest legends of WWE who is still very much active in the promotion.

But in 2004, he departed from WWE and remained out of the promotion for eight long years. He was on the peak of his career and it was really heart breaking for his fans to see their favourite wrestler leaving. Brock Lesnar joined UFC after leaving WWE and he had been pretty successful.

WWE Legend Kurt Angle was one of the biggest rivals of Brock Lesnar during the Ruthless Aggression Era and the duo even main evented WrestleMania XIX. Kurt Angle recently spoke to ITR Live show in 2022 where he shared shocking details about the departure of Lesnar. He said;

“Oh the tortuous match between Goldberg and Brock. How would you like to be in that f*cking match, when everyone in the arena is booing you and tell you that you are f*cking boring and go home. Wow man! Ok, this is what happened. We were in South Africa, and Brock comes up to me and says, Hey, I hate f*cking travelling. I can’t take this anymore, I can’t travel overseas all the time. I like to be home and I like to hunt and fish.

Kurt Angle Reveals Shocking Facts About Brock Lesnar’s Departure

“I’m like well, Brock you are a simple man. He said, Listen, I think what I’m gonna do. I said what are you going to do Brock? He said, I’m going to try out for the NFL. I said, Why are you going to do that? You have a job with the WWE. He said, Because I hate f*cking travelling. In the NFL, you only travel 8 weeks of the year. So every weekend, you go to another city, but it’s only 8 times. The rest of the dates, I’ll be at home, fishing and hunting.

“I said, Okay, so what are you going to tell Vince? He said, I don’t know, that’s why I am asking you. I said, Well I would tell him after WrestleMania. He asked why and I said well because you’re going to have to do the f*cking job at WrestleMania if you are quitting now, and you are wrestling Goldberg. If you want to win at WrestleMania, don’t tell him until after WrestleMania. He goes, Gotcha.

“We go back, we go straight to SmackDown. He goes up to Vince and he says, Vince, I want to try out for the NFL. I was like oh f*ck man, he just f*cked himself. So, next week is WrestleMania, and what happened? Brock Lesnar did the job against Goldberg. It would have been the other way if Brock Lesnar had smartened up, but he didn’t because he is an idiot.”

Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE in 2012 but in spite of having big feuds, he was not receiving bigger victories until WrestleMania XXX where he beat the Streak of the Undertaker. Since then, he had been treated as one of the strongest men in the WWE roster and he is a valuable asset of the roster.
