WWE Universe is gearing up to experience live TV episodes of Raw, Smackdown and SuperShows, this summer as they could attend those, in person. Recently, WWE announced a 25-city return tour as they get back on the road on a full-time basis after the COVID-19 pandemic. It appears that even NXT will start touring with their roster, leaving the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida although there’s no official update has arrived.

Why WWE Is Bringing Back Supershows In 2021 Summer 1

As you can guess, apart from RAW and SmackDown television tapings, they also have plenty of SuperShows, this summer. These will all be dual-branded house shows, mostly during the weekend to entertain the fans. For the first time since the brand extension, such a theme is being brought back and WWE does have a good reason to host the same. Apparently, they want everything to be bigger, this summer.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked about the return of Supershows in WWE schedule during a mailbag question. He explained that the reason for the announcement of such shows is because WWE wants to get as many Superstars on the same card as they can.

WWE Supershows will gather star power on a show

The company will only be conducting one house show on those weekend nights and hence they want to bring everyone in the card. Previously, Raw and Smackdown house shows used to be hosted in different places with separate roster superstars since 2016 which won’t be the case. These coming SuperShows will feature names from both the red and blue brands.

Roman Reigns Only Undefeated WWE Superstar In 2021

“Because there’s not that many of them and it serves no purpose to limit them to a single brand when you have stars from both brands that are available. When you’re running two shows a night then, of course, you want to split them in some form, but when there’s only one show you might as well put on stars from both brands. It makes sense. It will sell more tickets with more stars, not a lot, but it will sell more,” mentioned the source.

We can hope that the extra star appeal will force even more fans to purchase tickets for these SuperShows as WWE returns to the road on a full-time basis. A draft is also waiting at the same time in late summer to shake things up on the main roster which may also make a major impact on these coming shows.
