WWE Hell in a Cell 2018 Match Card, Preview and Prediction

The ninth program in the Hell in a Cell chronology is upon us tonight. WWE superstars will unleash their monsters inside the cage structure giving birth to some infamous moments. Over the years, the Hell in a Cell PPV has gone on to become the most popular gimmick based event in the WWE. It is coming back with a stacked card with multiple championship matches.

Six titles’ fate will be on the line with the main event getting contested inside the Hell in a Cell. Roman Reigns will defend his Universal Championship against Braun Strowman with Mick Foley serving as the guest referee. The other cell match of the night will take place between Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy.

The AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas will be the host of the Hell in a Cell 2018 show. WWE Network will stream it live from 5.30 AM onwards. Here is the full match card of the evening with potential outcomes.

Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch – Smackdown women’s Championship

The crowd will be all over Charlotte Flair cheering for Becky Lynch for this matchup. It is one of the rarest occasions where the champ is the underdog. However, she is not losing the title just a PPV after winning it. But a clean loss will ruin the momentum for Becky Lynch too. So we should expect this one to end in a DQ or double count out. It will set up the next edition at the Super Show Down.

Seth Rollins-Dean Ambrose vs. Drew McIntyre-Dolph Ziggler – WWE Raw tag team championship

The Shield reunion has not been much successful following 2018 Summerslam. For some bad timing reasons, Ambrose and Rollins do not have the spark, right now. The champs, on the other hand, are living on the flip side of the coin. They are on top of the WWE Raw roster, currently with a monster by their side. So the titles should not change shoulders at Hell in a Cell.

The New Day vs Rusev Day – Smackdown tag team championships

This match is standing at 50-50 right now. The New Day is already set to defend the title against The Bar at Super Show Down as per the recent announcement. It confirms their victory at Hell in a Cell. But Rusev Day’s momentums have been undeniable in recent times. Giving them a clean pinfall loss would be unfair which keeps the match alive for them.

AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe – WWE Championship

Samoa Joe has got into the heads of AJ Styles by taking personal shots over the past few weeks. The Night Night AJ promo from Smackdown has been the very best of this time that should force the champion to lose his focus. It is where AJ will have the odds stacked against him in months. Losing temper could be the reason that the title reign finally ends after 300+ days.

Daniel Bryan-Brie Bella vs The Miz-Maryse – Mixed tag team match

It should be the most exciting match of the Hell in a Cell night. Till date, Miz had the upper hand on Bryan playing mind games and using his wife. But now the scene changed after Brie returned on Smackdown. The YES couple stood tall together for the last couple of weeks which is an indication they would pick up the win. After that, Bryan will head on to Super Show Down to claim his one-on-one victory over The Miz.

Ronda Rousey vs Alexa Bliss – WWE Raw women’s championship

It is going to be another one-sided affair between these two ladies like Summerslam. Alexa Bliss will try to come up with some initial troubles attacking Ronda’s hurt mid-ribs. Mickie James or Alicia Fox might also try to provide the distractions. But the champion will retain no matter what. She is set to go into a new rivalry with Nikki Bella for the historic Evolution PPV.

Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton – Hell in a Cell match

Jeff Hardy is getting his first Hell in a Cell match of his illustrious career. It would be another time when the high-flyer will pull off those daredevil stunts. It’s almost that we’d see a spot in this match where Jeff would take a nasty fall from the cell cage. The veteran Randy Orton would take advantage of it to pick up his fourth victory inside this demonic cage.

Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman – Hell in a Cell Universal Championship match

It would be the main event match of Hell in a Cell with Mick Foley serving as the guest referee. All hell will break loose during this match containing multiple spots. Ambrose, Rollins, Ziggler, McIntyre will definitely interfere in the contest to create utter chaos. Roman Reigns will still find a way to come out of the cell with the title when the dusks get cleared. He will move onto a rivalry against Drew McIntyre, thereafter.
