WWE will be returning with the exciting Hell in a Cell PPV during the end of this month. On October 30th, the demolition derby will take place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. This will mark the second PPV from the flagship show of the company, WWE Monday Night Raw. To compete against the blue brand, the hypes around the PPV have already started and we already got three Hell in Cell matches on the night.
Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte – RAW Women’s Championship
Roman Reigns vs. Rusev – United States Championship
Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins – WWE Universal Championship
As a must mention, this will be after 7 long years that there will be three Hell in Cell matches on the night. There have not been more than two HIAC matches for the past few years. Apparently, Vince McMahon is not happy with the fallen ratings of Raw and he will be pulling out all the stops to make the PPV a success.
This will be the first time since 2009 that we will be seeing matches with the same gimmick. Seven years ago, we saw D-Generation X fighting with the Legacy, John Cena defending his WWE championship against Randy Orton and Undertaker fighting with CM Punk inside the demonic structure.
Now, previously the WWE Universal championship match was not planned to take place inside the cage structure and it was finalized just days before Mick Foley’s official announcement, this past week on Raw. Jericho was also supposed to be part of the match but he was taken out since his presence will pull down the caliber of Kevin Owens who is the biggest heel in WWE, at this time. By virtue of winning the title match would make him look even stronger than before. Once he is done with Rollins, he is going to build up a feud with Jericho for the title.
WWE also trying to spread the Women’s revolution more and hence they put the title on the line inside the Hell in a Cell structure for the very first time. Charlotte and Sasha Banks both deserve the spotlight and going by the rumors, this might turn out to be the even main event the night.
