Chris Jericho has been the loyal figure to the WWE over seventeen long years now. This man has been called into the WWE whenever needed and he served with his very best. Due to that for the past few years, we have seen many returning moments featuring Y2J.
At this year’s beginning too, when WWE was lacking star power prior to the Royal Rumble PPV, Jericho showed up. He was not intending to stick around for a long time, back then. However, he indulged in a feud with AJ Styles which stretched to Wrestlemania and did not give the chance to leave. After that, he was given the jobber’s task to Dean Ambrose making his current stint more stretchable.
In recent months, he’s acting as the current WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens’ best friend to help him in the title run. While many thought he’ll stick to his duties, it might not be the case. Recent reports suggest that Jericho will soon be de-touched from his ally with Owens. This will result in a triple threat title match at Hell in a Cell PPV.
Kevin Owens will defend his Universal title against Seth Rollins and Chris Jericho inside the Hell in a Cell structure. This match will mark the end of Chris Jericho’s 2016 stint in WWE. He is scheduled to record a new album with his music band, Fozzy and hence has to leave after October.
Previously, Jericho gave us an update about his busy schedule due to his commitments both inside and outside the WWE. He also told that he is not willing to leave until this year’s end. However, it appears that his stint is coming to an early end which could eventually mark his last here in the WWE. He is already looking outdated in the mix of the fresh superstars in the locker room and might not return for more.
