Last night’s WWE Raw channeled a vignette advertising a Drew McIntyre Appreciation Night. There’s no denying that this man has been the most dominant figure on the show for the past several months. So he deserved this appreciation as per the acting general manager of WWE Raw. Baron Corbin arranged the segment clarifying that this man has also made his journey smoother as an authority figure.
Drew McIntyre wasted no time before showing up on WWE Raw, next. Corbin reminded us about how he dismantled Kurt Angle a few weeks ago. So he should be the new gold medalist on the show. So he awarded the Scottish Psychopath with custom gold medal resembling Angle’s Olympic Gold Medal. The dominant heel cut a promo about being an unstoppable force on the show until Dolph Ziggler’s music cut him off.
These two formed a tag team on WWE Raw ever since Wrestlemania 34 was over. But Drew McIntyre did not mention Ziggler’s name for once that hurt the show-off. In fact, he started to insult the former world champion to make him relevant on the show. A verbal confrontation broke out inside the ring hinting that the partnership is over. Dolph Ziggler confirmed it by attacking his former bestie with some right hands. A zig-zag followed that allowed all hell to break loose on the show.
Baron Corbin demanded that these two compete in a match on WWE Raw, right there. Dolph Ziggler got early momentums in the match coming up with a flurry of strikes. But Drew McIntyre reversed a spike DDT into a release northern lights suplex to take control. He continued talking trash to Ziggler until Finn Balor walked out on the ramp to get a closer look in the match.
Drew McIntyre threw Dolph Ziggler into the ring accidentally knocking down the referee. Finn Balor gave a drop-kick on McIntyre taking advantage of this. Ziggler followed up with a super-kick on his opponent to get the win. Drew McIntyre received his first pinfall loss on WWE Raw ever since coming back on WWE Raw in April.
He was not happy about this and took out frustrations later the night on WWE Raw. Finn Balor suffered his wrath after defeating Jinder Mahal in a singles matchup. An assault followed at the backstage area until the officials stopped him from hitting Balor. This just heated up the rivalry ongoing for the WWE TLC PPV.
