WWE News: Nikki Bella to square off against Carmella in a No Disqualifications match 1

In today’s WWE, when we are in the middle of an ongoing Women’s wrestling it only makes sense that we will see the type of matches we used to get only in the male division. The Smackdown creative has done full justice to their Women’s division from the get going. Post WWE Draft we have doubted about the division’s progress since most of the roster was filled up with rookie Diva’s from NXT. But, they prove that right booking and the proper storyline is the key to success.
As a result, the blue brand as a whole has already defeated the flagship show and especially in the booking of the Women’s division. We are getting two storylines for the female roster from Smackdown. Along with the title picture, we are getting a singles feud between Nikki Bella and Carmella which is most probably going to culminate at the No Mercy PPV.
Since the day Nikki Bella has returned, the creative makes Carmella go after her. The Princess of Staten Island was not getting the expected reaction that she expected and hence she was turned heel. While Nikki was thought to continue with her born heelish acts, the reaction and sympathy towards her made her turn into a babyface.

Nikki Bella & Naomi vs. Natalya & Carmella: SmackDown LIVE, Sept. 20, 2016

Carmella has been dominant till date by attacking Nikki on a regular basis on Smackdown and hence Smackdown General Manager, Daniel Bryan has opened up about their singles match. On the talking smack show, Bryan said that at the No Mercy PPV, these two will be going against each other and the match will be taking place in a No disqualification capacity.

To be noted, if this does happen it will be a rare match in the Women’s wrestling with that NO DQ stipulation. The audience is already invested fully into the feud and the interesting part is they are yet to receive a singles contest. It is also good for a rookie like Carmella who is being put over by the longest reigning Divas champion of all time.
