It’s no secret that WWE officials are high on Drew McIntyre. Ever since he came back on the main roster, WWE kept him in a protected role. The impact of his character is so much high that he did not suffer a single loss for over more than six months. Eventually, Dolph Ziggler pinned him a few weeks ago pulling an end to the undefeated streak prior to WWE TLC.

Meanwhile, Finn Balor also involved in a feud against Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler creating a triple-way scenario on WWE Raw. The first-ever Universal Champion picked up some consecutive wins in recent time hinting that something big in-store for him. It is a must to mention that he also pinned Drew McIntyre, clean at WWE TLC that was indeed a huge win of his career.

However, this win raised eyebrows of Drew McIntyre fans. Does this mean that the push has come to an end towards him? News has also started to spread that Finn Balor is up for some big things on WWE Raw in the near future. With McMahon family being in charge, does Drew McIntyre lose his relevance? The answer is NO and it’s only the timing that has been pushed back.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter has come up with a report that revealed the strategy adopted by WWE officials. They are likely to keep both the aforementioned superstars viable on the roster. So both will be able to retain the good position in the due course. To be exact, WWE ‘is focusing Finn Balor for this month and will focus on Drew McIntyre next month’.

This is why Finn Balor picked up some consecutive big wins on one single month. He has not only defeated Drew McIntyre but also Dolph Ziggler and eventually won a triple threat. We could hardly imagine such a winning streak to him even a couple of months ago. WWE mostly used him in a jobbing process for the youngsters as well as the veteran superstars.

As for Drew McIntyre, he is always in the good books of Triple H and Vince McMahon. He could have featured in a Wrestlemania championship match, as per the earlier planning. But that is not likely to happen as Brock Lesnar is the champion. Probably, Seth Rollins is going to be the next challenger for the Universal Championship.
