There have been some constant speculations over Wrestlemania coming to the United Kingdom for the very first time. WWE has a huge fanbase in the UK and they certainly want to be a part of the biggest extravaganza of the year. With the latest WWE UK tour, the fans made their demand heard, once again.
A live event took place in Norwich, England where Triple H was present. The fans wanted to let their voices be heard to The Game and started chanting “We Want Mania”. In case you don’t know, Triple H is the WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative.
Now, he is not someone to ignore the chants made by the fans. He is considered as one of the best mic workers of all-time. Plus, he is the in-charge of the live event schedule, as well. So, he responded to the fans in a bit humorous yet significant way. Check out what he stated to the fans:
“Oh, you want Mania? I can get you the code for the travel packages. It’s only 7 hours away. I do that journey all the time. Don’t keep b**chin’.”
The hint of arranging travel packages certainly indicates that the company has no intentions to take the biggest spectacle outside the comfort zone of the United States or Canada.
It is quite understandable why they would want to be so since hosting live events is a completely different thing from that of hosting Wrestlemania in a different country. WWE has to keep in mind about the fans and the good arrangement of the event which might not be perfect while hosting the brand known as Wrestlemania.
WWE has never hosted a PPV in the United Kingdom. But, back in 2015, they have organised the NXT Takeover: London. Finn Balor defeated Samoa Joe on that night for the NXT title. It is confirmed that they will continue to come back to the UK in the future if not for Wrestlemania.
In a recent show in Lille, France, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins addressed the WWE Universe vowing to return, again and again. These were the statements from Seth Rollins:
“Now since this is the only stop on our tour in France, I wanted to take a moment to say ‘Merci Beaucoup!’ Thank you guys very much. We appreciate you. We will be back. (French) Musique!” (Rollins thanks the French fans and calls for the music)
