WWE News: Two Big Matches Confirmed for Hell In A Cell 2017

The road to the Hell in a Cell PPV has been interesting, so far. It is the first time that this event is going to be an exclusive show to the Smackdown brand. Till date, they have been able to put up a good hype for the upcoming event set to take place on October 8th in Detroit, MI.

We know that there will be two marquee matches on the show as per the earlier announcements. Jinder Mahal will defend his WWE Championship at the same PPV against Shinsuke Nakamura. Plus, Shane McMahon will be seeking redemption against Kevin Owens inside the Hell in a Cell structure.

Also, we have got two more matches announced on this week’s edition of Smackdown Live. The Usos lost their tag team titles on last week’s show to the New Day. So, technically they deserve a rematch for the championships.

The contenders were present on this week’s Smackdown for commentary during the New Day vs The Hype Bros match and let us know that the rematch is scheduled at Hell in a Cell PPV. So, the two best tag teams present in the WWE today will collide for another great match for the championship.

Also, Charlotte Flair returned to Smackdown Live after a hiatus of a few weeks. She went straight to demand a title match now that she is over dealing with the health problems of his father, Ric Flair. But, Natalya declined her pledge by appearing in front of her.

But, the same demand was kept by another returning one, Becky Lynch. Naomi came up with the same pledge despite losing against the champion, last week. Lana showed up with Tamina batting for her partner so that the latter one can get a title opportunity.

So, we got a fatal-4-way match in the main event of Smackdown where Charlotte, Naomi, Becky, and Tamina locked horns. In the end, it was the Queen who emerged victorious by delivering a big boot to Tamina. Following the match, it was officially announced that Charlotte Flair vs Natalya would take place for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at the Hell in a Cell PPV.
