WWE News: WWE World Championship coming to India

Alongside some of the selective areas around the globe, WWE has a strong fan base in India. With the market growing day by day it’s quite natural that WWE wants to expand its wings even more in the subcontinent. WWE is looking to cater to more of their fans in the upcoming days. In the process of the same, WWE has sent Alberto Del Rio last month to promote the company more in India.
Now, they are following it up by sending the WWE World Championship in India. The most coveted prize in the sports entertainment history will be situated in the St. Xavier’s college, Mumbai from August 14th to 16th in the premises.
It is unlikely that the newly announced WWE Universal Championship will also be sent along with it since it is still not unveiled. The Universal belt is most likely to be made public on the next week’s episode of Monday Night raw or the day of Summerslam where the first match will take place for the Universal championship.

”The Gold is coming home! The WWE Championship will be at St. Xavier’s, Mumbai, from 14th to 16th August”
In this year’s January, WWE has decided to finally put the end of 13 years long wait by visiting India. WWE live event was hosted on 15th and 16th January at the Indira Gandhi Indoor stadium in Delhi. The two shows saw huge success featuring the then WWE champion Roman Reigns, Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, The Wyatt Family, Big Show, Kane, The Usos, Charlotte, Summer Rae etc. The event also saw the debut of two Indian wrestlers in WWE i.e. Kishan Raftaar and Lovepreet Sangha.
Later, Alberto Del Rio visited the prestigious East Bengal football club tent and Garuda Mall in Bengaluru to promote the upcoming WWE video game WWE 2K17. The Mexican superstar gave us a hint of WWE coming back to India, soon.
