One of the major talking points coming out of this week’s NXT was Mandy Rose debuting a brand new look on WWE TV. Originally, NXT was supposed to get a revamp in the form of NXT 2.0 with Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard on charge of the show. But then it was also a nice surprise to witness perhaps the most gorgeous female superstar of this generation in this new avatar.
Already, Mandy Rose shared quite a few close-up shots of her Brunette looks on Instagram over which her fanbase is obviously drooling around. But being an Insta star, she would want to gain more followers using her new look. Hence, she kept on posting more photos and this time, it appeared that she was having an outing with family and friends.
Mandy Rose shared a few photos of her in stunning brown attire while flaunting her new hair. She posed just outside a bathroom setup as the caption stated, “I liked this wallpaper.” Alongside those Insta shots, a number of get-together photos and videos were also shared through her Insta stories to woo her fans.
Talking Smack host Kayla Braxton simply wrote ‘Wow’ on the photo while Eva Marie from Raw dropped some fire emojis to mention the hotness quotient of those shots.
Mandy Rose getting the attention in new brunette look
As noted above, on this week’s (September 14) NXT episode, Mandy Rose interrupted the Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne vs. Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter tag team match to debut her new look which started trending on the internet. Then she proceeded to defeat Sarray, Kacy, and Kayden in a six-man tag team match alongside Gigi and Jacey.
It was Mandy Rose who picked up the pinfall win over Jayden with a pumping knee-striker. This also marked the first win for the former WWE Raw superstar since her NXT return.
By the looks of it, Mandy Rose will be in charge of this faction also featuring Gigi (fka Priscilla Kelly) and Jayne. The trio also sent an ominous message to the NXT roster to send a straight-up warning on how they intend to take things over. Plus, during that backstage interview, it was also revealed that their team will be known as Toxic Attraction.
Heading into All Elite Wrestling promotion appeared to be the best decision of Taynara Conti as she could regularly appearing on TV. Being an outsider of this pro-wrestling league, she barely had a piece of in-depth knowledge about this sport even two or three years ago. She joined WWE to learn more and get more opportunities to perform which wasn’t the case.
After sitting out of TV for most of the occasions during her NXT days, Taynara Conti was finally released from the contract, last year amid the COVID-19 related budget cuts. AEW roped her in a new contract starting with September of 2020 which extremely benefitted her career. Her popularity increased in recent times as she hit 500K followers on Instagram.
The stunning Diva had quite a way to throw a celebration on this occasion as she donned a black bikini top and posed all around her house. Taynara Conti had a 500K banner set up by herself while she also crunched away some cookies in happiness. The photos were accompanied by a heartfelt post on Instagram as she also took her time to thank her fans for all the love and support towards her.
Taynara Conti is thankful to her fanbase
“WE ARE 500k, half a million… it’s crazy y’all !! I just wanna to say that I’m so thankful for all the support you guys give me, I wouldn’t be able to be where I’m today without you all. Everything I achieved in life was through a lot of hard work, nothing was easy and that’s why I feel even better. I earned. Thank you for believing in my work. I love you guys!!!” part of the caption from Taynara Conti read.
Since after heading into AEW, Taynara Conti made some splash and she has also got some new ink to help motivate her. She had her first AEW Women’s World Title opportunity against Hikaru Shida at the beginning of this year’ summer, after becoming the number-one contender. She’d then have a new tattoo saying ‘predestined’ to let everyone know that she would accomplish something big in her career.
At this point, Taynara Conti is a part of the Dark Order on AEW TV who also got back her friend Anna Jay by her side to re-form the Tay-Jay team. We’ll have to see what AEW has in-store for these two in the future.
Taynara Conti is very much serious about her professional wrestling career despite the fact that she didn’t even have proper knowledge about this sport even a few years ago. She was the first Brazilian talent to have ever stepped her foot inside a WWE ring. With her antics, she could easily garner attention toward herself but then again WWE stood in her way. Being a novice, she didn’t get enough chances to feature in competition on a regular basis.
This eventually led to her release from the WWE as she found her way to the All Elite Wrestling promotion, a year ago. Since then, Taynara Conti managed to gain back love to pro-wrestling as the company provided her with opportunities to feature on TV with enough creative opportunities for her. She is happy with her position and that gets reflected on her social media.
Speaking of this, Taynara Conti often blesses her followers with scorching bikini numbers on Instagram. Recently a few of such photos were shared when with one being in a sky-blue two-piece attire as she posed at a beach. With the ocean in the background, she captioned the post, “I’m not in a rush…” Tessa Blanchard commented Wow in that post while WWE star Dakota Kai stated Baby Tay on it.
In another post, Taynara Conti brought back her beloved leopard-printed bikini number that was also accompanied with black. The caption of the photos only stated, “Hey there” a stood in front of a bloomed tree in an undisclosed location. Needless to say, the photos also received a ton of praise from her wrestling colleagues.
Taynara Conti recalled her training days in WWE
While speaking to Oral Sessions Podcast with Renee Young, Taynara Conti discussed her days in WWE including her first tryout. It was a memorable experience, but one thing that really stood out was how Bayley kept on screaming at her the entire time so that she could make a progress. Bayley appeared to be her well-wisher who wanted nothing but the very best from her.
“I remember more like Bayley because she was screaming at me all the time. Yes … That was crazy because honestly, I had no idea what I was doing. I’ll be 100% honest, no idea. But then, because of my background, I was like, ‘That’s a competition and I want to win.’ And then I was like, ‘What am I winning? I don’t even know. But like, it’s a lot of people, it’s a competition, and I’m going to be the best.’ That was my mentality.”
Fitting to a new start by the WWE NXT brand billed as NXT 2.0, Mandy Rose also debuted a new look on the latest bygone episode. The blinder Mandy is gone and a brunette Mandy was introduced to the world with a vicious new attitude. It appears that she is here to take over the Tuesday night programming of the WWE alongside her newly found partners.
Mandy Rose came to NXT from RAW earlier in the summer who wrestled her first match on the August 31 NXT show since the return, losing to Sarray via count-out. She then proceeded to form an alliance with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne as the trio is now functioning as a faction. The team-up continued on last night’s NXT show and it never looked any stronger.
Initially, Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter vs. Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne was the tag match set for NXT 2.0. Kacy booted Jayne and tagged in Kayden. A hooded woman then ran down and shoved Kacy off the top turnbuckle as the referee called for the bell due to the disqualification.
Mandy Rose makes a statement on NXT 2.0
The hooded woman revealed herself to be mandy Rose who’s sporting dark hair. Sarray ran down to interrupt the triple-teaming on Kacy and Kayden. She fought off Dolin and Jayne, then went after Rose but Rose retreated from the ring. The two sides yelled at each other from the ring and the ringside area to set up a six-woman tag team match.
In this new match, Sarray, Kacy Catanzaro, and Kayden Carter were defeated by Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, and Jacey Jayne. It was Rose who picked up the pinfall win by planting Kayden with a pumping knee-strike on Kayden and thereby making a huge statement.
Once the show was over, Mandy Rose offered some gorgeous snaps of her Brunette look on Instagram with the caption mentioning the start of a ‘new era’ on NXT. Former WWE Star Billie Kay commented Wow on the photos while Renee Young approved the look by saying, “Into it.” Mick Foley’s daughter Noelle Foley has also loved the look.
Since the debuting of the new look, Mandy Rose has been trending on the internet for the rightful reasons as her fanbase is literally drooling over the brunette makeover. Hopefully, this look will also bring some luck to the superstar’s WWE career.
Tommaso Ciampa has become your new WWE NXT Champion. As reported earlier, the belt was declared vacant this past weekend by Samoa Joe. He was forced to relinquish the title due to an undisclosed injury. Joe held the title for just 20 days after winning it from Karrion Kross back at Takeover 36 on August 22. No particular update was given about the severity of the former champ’s injury.
Afterward, WWE NXT General Manager William Regal announced the originally set number-one contender’s fatal-4-way will serve as the new title match with the lineup being Tommaso Ciampa vs. Kyle O’Reilly vs. LA Knight vs. Pete Dunner. O’Reilly was attacked in a backstage segment by Dunne and Ridge Holland and as a result, he was taken out of the match. He was then replaced by newcomer Von Wagner (Cal Bloom, son of Wayne Bloom).
The fatal-4-way ended with Tommaso Ciampa capturing the vacant WWE NXT Title. He earned the pinfall win over Knight via his Fairytale Ending finisher. This is Ciampa’s second run with the NXT Title who ended the show after having a confrontation with the debuting Bron Breakker (son of Rick Steiner).
WWE NXT Cruiserweight Title Match set for next week
Next week, another title match will go down on the show for WWE NXT Cruiserweight Championship. The current champion Kushida will make his return to action by putting his title on the line against Roderick Strong.
After Bivens introduced Ivy Nile, the only new female faction member of Diamond Mine and had words for them, Kushida, who has been out of action after testing positive for COVID-19, came out to challenge Strong to a match. Bivens then proposed that they would save it for next week. WWE has since announced Strong vs. Kushida for the title on next Tuesday’s show.
Speaking of title matches, WWE NXT Women’s Title match was also set for this week with Raquel Gonzalez defending her belt against Franky Monet. The match was officially advertised to take place on the revamped version from the Capitol Wrestling Center. However, that match didn’t take place, last night. No update for the cancellation was given, either as Monet and Raquel also missed the show.
A revamped edition of WWE NXT aired this week with the highlight being the crowning of a new champion for the brand. Also, WWE Universe got to be part of the culmination of the love saga between Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell in their matrimony on the episode that took place at the Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

Backstage, Bron Breakker walked up and congratulated Ciampa for his title win. Bron’s attitude changed a few seconds later letting Ciampa seething about it. The two had a face-off to send the show off-air.
Chelsea Green was released from WWE before she could make her debut on the mainstay debut, properly. An injury-plagued journey is to blame for her unsuccessful WWE career where she couldn’t live up to the expectations. A lot of fans expected her to go to Impact Wrestling, afterward given that she did have a bond with them before joining the WWE.
The two sides were already said to be in the talks following Chelsea Green’s immediate WWE release, creating an interesting situation. Then she was done with her mandatory 90-day non-compete clause with WWE and it didn’t take long for her to arrive at Impact. She is also set to make appearances at ROH, starting with the Best In The World pay-per-view.
At this point where Chelsea Green is all over the independent scene, hoping for a bright future. That being said, she has turned out to be a kickass figure who obviously has her sexy side. Apparently, she was trying to channelize those dual vibes via her latest photoshoot. The caption for the photo said it all, “we can be sexy and kickass, repeat after me.”
Veterans like Mickie James as well as some indie names responded to her photo mentioning the hotness quotient of the photos.
Chelsea Green having a blast following WWE release
Chelsea Green already competed in an ROH tournament to determine a new Women of Honor Champion at September’s Death Before Dishonor. She made her big surprise debut as the final competitor in the WOH tournament. Plus, she planned to work the NWA Empowerrr event as well with or without her wrist cast that was donned following her wrist injury.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, Chelsea Green is talking to more than just Impact Wrestling, ROH, and the NWA. She also has a desire to work in Mexico for AAA, but the ongoing pandemic situation didn’t allow it to happen,
“She’s also spoken with AAA about working there, but the resurgence in the pandemic seems to have slowed things down.”
To date, Chelsea Green has not signed a bound contract with any company as she’s been only working on pre-date agreements thus far. No AEW talks have been heard about her, as of this writing.
WWE wanted to get Gable Steveson signed for a long time. After the Olympic Gold Medal win in Tokyo, Vince McMahon literally pulled out all the stops to sign him, and now the deal is official. As reported earlier, he has put his signature to the paper to become a WWE Superstar. While he won’t join WWE right away, it will eventually happen. For now, he still has some unfinished business at the University of Minnesota.
Per WWE’s announcement, Gable Steveson has signed a unique contract with the company, their first-ever NCAA NIL (name, image, likeness) deal. It was noted that while he remains signed to the exclusive agreement with the WWE, he will be defending his NCAA title for the University of Minnesota.
In an update, ESPN’s Mike Coppinger reported that Gable Steveson’s deal is a multi-year contract with the WWE, but it’s not clear on the exact length of the signing. The deal will allow Gable to attend the University of Minnesota for his senior year, and defend the Division I national championship at heavyweight.
Gable Steveson to start training with the WWE
WWE will make sure that Gable Steveson gets a remote training facility near the University of Minnesota campus, where he will learn the finer points of in-ring work with WWE coaches. There is no word on which coaches will be appointed to train him in the near future.
But sooner some veteran names are likely to join the 21-year-old athlete. At the same time, he can also access the WWE Performance Center training facility available in Orlando, Florida where his brother Bobby Steveson is already training with the latest class of PC trainees.
Gable Steveson’s multi-year talent contract with WWE will officially begin once he graduates from college in May. He will be a full-time performer with WWE from then onwards but he is also expected to appear on WWE TV during the school year. This indicates we might see him on WWE NXT TV sooner than later, but that has not been confirmed.
As seen earlier, Gable Steveson appeared at ringside for NXT “Takeover: Stand and Deliver” during WrestleMania 37 weekend back in April and was then honored at SummerSlam 2021 with fellow Olympic gold medalist wrestler Tamyra Mensah-Stock for his Olympics accomplishment. It’s yet to be seen when he will return to WWE TV as a contracted talent.
The reigning WWE NXT Champion has been forced to relinquish his title due to an unfortunate injury occurrence. While it wasn’t mentioned what type of injury is bothering Joe, it was fatal enough to drop her belt and make way for the younger superstars to pick it up and have a run with it as a new era awaits from this coming Tuesday.
Samoa Joe released a video on Twitter this evening, announcing he would be relinquishing WWE NXT title after the company’s medical team informed him that due to “certain injuries” he will have to step away from the ring for a brief amount of time.
The full statement from the former champion goes as follows,
“Recently WWE medical has informed me that due to certain injuries, they’d like to have me step away from the ring for a brief, but indeterminate amount of time. I realize this week we are on the cusp of a new NXT, we are on the brink of a new era in our history, and that era deserves a fighting champion. That’s why it makes a difficult decision very easy to make. Effective immediately, I relinquish the NXT championship. Best of luck to those who will vie for it. My sincerest condolences to whoever wins, because I will be along shortly to recollect what is mine.”
New WWE NXT Champion to be crowned
Samoa Joe is nothing new when it comes to picking up sudden injuries or concussions. He previously suffered a lot while being on the main roster. This was also a supposed reason why he couldn’t be elevated into the main event level on a permanent basis. We assume the trend continues on WWE NXT as he had to vacate his title.
Samoa Joe had won the title at WWE NXT TakeOver 36 during the Summerslam weekend after he defeated Karrion Kross. He started a historic third run with the title which now has nothing important to mention. There’s no update either on how WWE plans to crown a new champion.
As of this writing, a number-one contender’s title match is scheduled for this coming episode of NXT with the lineup being Pete Dunne vs. Tommaso Ciampa vs. LA Knight vs. Kyle O’Reilly. We assume this match could be converted into a title match, instead to replace Joe as the new WWE NXT Champion. More updates on the situation should be there on this upcoming episode.
Deonna Purrazzo was released by WWE NXT, last year which appeared to be a breather for the bright talent. It gave her the opportunity that she never received on the WWE NXT roster. After not receiving much of an opportunity on television for more than a couple of years, her WWE job became frustrated and she desperately wanted to get rid of it. After all, she signed with WWE to become a star on television but she did everything except for appearing on TV on a regular basis.
While speaking to the Oral Sessions podcast hosted by former WWE talent Renee Young, Deonna Purrazzo detailed some of her complaints about WWE’s developmental system also known as NXT. She was given suggestions about how she could do things differently, but nobody was specific enough about how she could shine bright on television.
A big part of Deonna Purrazzo’s wrestling career was the run in NXT from 2018 to 2020. She has been critical of her time, there, for obvious reasons. Interestingly, she revealed that the sporadic usage of her on TV drained so much around her from wrestling while being in NXT. She almost intended to quit the sport after getting released in the spring of 2020.
“I was just kind of emotionally drained from wrestling,” Deonna Purrazzo said. “That environment and that system just really didn’t work for me as a person. I was just very much, ‘this is such b******t! This is not what I love about wrestling. I’m not even wrestling! I come to work and no one has valued me for any of my literal life accomplishments before I even got here.
What is this worth, what have I done with my life? Was it even worth it up to this point?’ When I was fired, I had contemplated going back to school a whole bunch. And I was like, ‘okay, I’m definitely going to go back to school.’ So I immediately sent in applications to different schools that were online, and I was like, ‘maybe I’ll just be a normal person again.’”
Deonna Purrazzo still hopes to be back in WWE
Thankfully, Impact Wrestling provided her with the needed opportunities and even before signing a bound contract with the promotion, she became the Knockouts Champion, last summer. Now the two-time champ and the Impact wrestler of the year 2020 has already proven her potential to the wrestling world.
Despite her difficulties with WWE, Deonna Purrazzo admitted that there’s still a small possibility that she could return to the WWE somewhere down the road. She’s more than happy in her current situation as she could wrestle for Impact, AAA, NWA, and other promotions. But being a part of Wrestlemania and becoming the WWE Women’s Champion is the ultimate goal of her career which remains the same.
“I think that was always my goal as a kid,” Deonna Purrazzo concluded. “I didn’t know all these other promotions existed, I was a WWE fan. So, for me, the goal was always to be on WrestleMania and be the Women’s Champion. So, I think there’s always going to be a part of me that’s like, ‘I wish it turned out differently.’ And never say never. If there’s any opportunity, maybe I would go. But I don’t know. I think that it drives me every day to work hard to get that phone call. And then be like, ‘oh me? The difficult one? I don’t know, I’ll have to think about it!’”
