Big Cass confronted Chris Jericho

WWE Raw was live this week from Omaha, NE as we kicked things off with Chris Jericho hosting another Highlight Reel. Jericho told people to shut up before starting the show. His special guest was supposed to be Dean Ambrose, but Ambrose is won’t be able to make it after the beating he gave Ambrose. So he introduced his new guest i.e. Mitch, the plant’s remaining.

Big Cass offered to show him that the new era of WWE Raw was all about a fight. Cass told that the new generation wanted to fight and if Jericho didn’t like it then he had got “SAWFT”. An annoyed Jericho ran to the ring, only to get a big boot to the face and got dispatched from the ring.

 

 

Baron Corbin def. Dolph Ziggler

This was no fluke. This edition of Ziggler vs. Corbin saw a fair fight on WWE Raw in which Corbin emerged as victorious. Ziggler tried to stop Corbin’s aggression with his experience and almost succeeded for the second time. Corbin took control of the match early with his power and started punishing Ziggler. Ziggler fought back into the contest to take control momentarily. But Corbin bounced back into the contest sending Ziggler to the top turnbuckle and executing the End of Days for the win.

 

 

R-Truth def. Fandango

This Thursday on Smackdown, the team of Goldust and Fandango will take on the team of Tyler Breeze and R-Truth i.e. Goldango vs. The Gorgeous Truth. Meanwhile on WWE Raw, Truth took on Fandango with their partners present by ringside. In a messy contest, which saw Truth accidentally knocking Breeze off the ring apron, came to an end with Truth picking up the win, with a lie detector.

 

 

Paige def. WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte

It proved to be a rough night for Charlotte when she took on a returning Paige on WWE Raw. Charlotte and Paige square off as Natalya watches the match from commentary area. Paige took out the champion by delivering a super flex and mocked Flair with his struts. As Charlotte tried to pick up a win by keeping her legs on the rope, Natalya broke it up to indulge in a further confrontation with Flair. Shane McMahon came down to the ring and escorted Ric out from ringside which allowed Paige to pick up the win with a quick roll-up.

 

 

Sami Zayn def. The Miz to earn a spot in Extreme Rules Intercontinental Championship match

The WWE Universe got a glimpse of Sami Zayn as Intercontinental Champion last week, but the problem was Zayn did not have any mentionable win under his belt so that he can claim a title shot. That too got resolved this past week as she pinned the Intercontinental champion The Miz himself to get a title shot. Miz tried to get dirty by a roll up with the help of the top rope. But, Zayn hit Miz with an exploder suplex into the corner and rammed him with the Helluva Kick.

 

 

Dana Brooke attacked Becky Lynch

Renee Young was standing backstage to get an interview with Becky Lynch where the Irish Lass Kicker promises to deliver an Irish Lass Kicking of her own as Emma interrupted her. As Emma was telling to keep an eye on her back, Dana Brooke, Emma’s NXT partner, attacked Becky, out of nowhere. E&D are back together, as they announced.

 

 

Sin Cara def. Rusev

Rusev was handed a loss on WWE Raw courtesy the man who’ll defend his U.S. Title against The Bulgarian Brute at Extreme Rules. In the height of the contest which saw Rusev almost finishing off the contest, Lana, and Kalisto both got up into the apron. Kalisto delivered a kick to the face of Rusev to momentarily stun him but that was enough to hand him a victory via roll-up.

 

 

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns & The Usos def. The Club

Once again, we witnessed the six men tag team main event but this time, the Club was back together, officially. The trio of AJ Styles, Gallows and Anderson showed why they were the best, back in Japan. With rest of the members being taken out of the equation, it was down to Reigns vs. Styles once again. Gallows brought a steel chair to the brawl to make it a disqualification. Reigns took out both Gallows and Anderson with a spear each. But, Styles caught Reigns with a Fall Away Kick. Styles went for a Styles Clash on the chair but Roman escaped. The segment ended two of them staring at one another.

 

 

Kevin Owens def. Zack Ryder

The stipulation prior to the match was that if Ryder managed to beat Owens then he will replace KO in the Intercontinental championship. KO made the bout a shorter one. Despite efforts from Ryder, KO punished him throughout the match. Ryder went for a rough Ryder only to miss it. Owens sealed the deal with a super-kick following with a Pop-up power-bomb.

 

The Dudley Boyz def. The New Day

The New Day came to the ring prior to the match after in a huge pop stored for them and cut a good promo as they always do. This too was a short match. The number one contenders, the Vaudevillains were present at ringside and caused a distraction to allow the Dudleyz to pick up the win via a devastating clothesline. After the match, the Vaudevillians delivered a Whirling Dervish to Kofi to send a statement.

 

 

Dean Ambrose attacked Chris Jericho

One week after Chris Jericho sadistically smashed Dean Ambrose’s prized plant over his head, The Lunatic Fringe got his retribution by destroying Chris Jericho’s $15,000 lightening jacket. As a result of the earlier confrontation, the main event match was set up for Jericho against Big Cass. But, As Jericho was standing on the stage for his entrance, someone attacked him on the stage and took his coat. The lights cut on and revealed that it was Dean Ambrose in Jericho’s jacket. Ambrose ripped off the jacket as Jericho ran down to the ring for a fight. Y2J managed to escape with his precious jacket but retreated by Big Cass. After delivering a Dirty Deeds, Ambrose cut the $15, 000 jacket of Jericho. WWE raw comes to a close as Shane and Stephanie looked on from backstage.
