WWE Raw was going to air with a celebratory mood after defeating Smackdown with a clean sweep. The acting GM expected to become the permanent GM by virtue of this performance. But a Monster among Men was waiting to run the day for him. Buildups for WWE TLC also began on the show that took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Baron Corbin opened this week’s edition of WWE Raw talking about the win at Survivor Series. Stephanie McMahon joined him inside the ring. Braun Strowman sooner interrupted them wanting to have a match with Corbin. Stephanie McMahon sanctioned the match for the WWE TLC PPV. She also announced a tag team elimination match for the night featuring both of them.
It changed into a six-man tag team elimination contest during the break. The full lineup was Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre vs. Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, and Elias. Balor took control of the match hitting a dropkick followed by a summersault senton on Lashley. But McIntyre received a blind tag and hit the Claymore Kick on Balor to eliminate him.
This eventually became a three on one handicap match during WWE Raw as Elias got himself counted out. Lashley hit with a spear to keep him out of the equation. McIntyre, Lashley, and Corbin delivered a beatdown on Strowman, thereafter. Corbin put Strowman’s heads on the steel steps and hit him with another one, causing an injury.
Seth Rollins addressed the announced IC title match against Dean Ambrose at WWE TLC. He called out the Lunatic Fringe who appeared on the tron and invited him to the backstage to find him. Ambrose hinted that he was hiding in the boiler room of the arena. Rollins entered the room to find out a ‘burn it down’ written quite with spray.
Ronda Rousey appeared on WWE Raw talking about the beatdown that she received at Survivor Series at the hands of Charlotte Flair. But that will not stop her from defending the championship at WWE TLC. Nia Jax will be her opponent. But she wanted to defend the title right there against an anonymous opponent.
Baron Corbin came out and denied her to do so. But Ronda Rousey stuck to her pledge that led Mickie James to come out for an impromptu title match. Ronda hit three back to back snap Samoan Drops to pin Mickie and retain the title. Nia Jax and Tamina came out after the match to have a confrontation with the champion.
Sasha Banks and Bayley teamed up to take on the team of Nia Jax and Tamina on WWE Raw. Tamina distracted Bayley while she was on the top rope allowing Nia to hit the Samoan Drop for the win. The Lucha House Party defeated The Revival in another tag team match. Lince Dorado hit a shooting star press on Dash Wilder to get the win.
Bobby Roode and Chad Gable competed against AOP in a tag team match. Roode gave a spinebuster to Akam and tagged in Gable who picked up the win via a roll-up. Natalya took on against Ruby Riott in a singles competition. Nattie locked in the Sharpshooter but Liv Morgan pulled out Riott outside the ring. Natalya pulled her into the ring to come up with a schoolboy for the victory.
Dean Ambrose appeared on WWE Raw in Los Angeles, California in the last segment. Seth Rollins ran towards the ring in order to catch him. A fight broke loose between these two inside the ring. Rollins set Ambrose up for the Stomp when the latter one delivered him with a low blow. He connected with two Dirty Deeds to lay down Rollins and close the show.
