Tonight’s WWE Raw came live from the Royal Farms arena in Baltimore, MD. We kicked off the night with Mick Foley addressing Backlash’s success to the crowd and he is going to deliver the best to the Baltimore crowd in the flagship show. She called out the Women’s champion to the ring to determine her true number one contender. Sasha and Bayley were also present inside the ring. Quite interestingly Dana Brooke slapped the champion after which Foley made a triple threat match for the challenger’s spot.
Dana vs. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks
The match to determine the number one contender ended in controversy as both Sasha and Bayley’s shoulder was down during the pinfall. However, replays were shown on numerous occasions and initially it was declared that Sasha was the winner and earned the right to face Charlotte at Clash of champions.
Bo Dallas vs. Brandon Scott
Bo Dallas continued with his momentum on WWE Raw by picking up another victory over a rookie. He continued with his “Believe in Bo” campaign.
The Highlight Reel with special guest Sami Zayn
Jericho volunteered the guest’s spot to Zayn, once Kevin Owens was removed from the show. Jericho got furious over Zayn’ insults and ended by slapping him and hitting him with a Codebreaker.
Sheamus vs. Cesaro
WWE Raw saw the fifth match between the Swiss Superman and the Celtic Warrior in the best of 7 series. After a physical contest, Cesaro dodged a Celtic cross from Sheamus and rolled him up with his foot on the ropes to make the score 2-3 for him.
Alicia Fox vs. Nia Jax
After last week’s insult to Alicia’s friend, it was evident that we were going to see this match on WWE Raw. However, Nia continued with her dominant display after slamming Alicia through the barricade. She finished off by spearing her outside the ring as the match got called off.
Kofi Kingston & Woods vs. Gallows and Anderson
Prior to the Summerslam rematch, we got a verbal encounter between the two teams. After a decent contest, Gallows put Kingston down with a boot. Woods then got caught by the running knee from Anderson following the Magic Killer to digest a loss.
Jinder Mahal vs. Jack Swagger
This was the first time that Mahal earned a victory since he debuted on WWE Raw. Swagger was put into the match to get the pinfall and he got the same from a neck-breaker from the Punjabi guy.
Enzo Amore vs. Epico
This match was asked by Enzo as he has got some unfinished business from last week’s WWE Raw. But, he robbed off a victory via the distraction from Primo who caught her legs under the bottom rope. Epico fell on him to pick up the pinfall.
Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens
Roman Reigns took on the Universal champion, Kevin Owens in the main event of WWE Raw. After a back and forth encounter, Reigns was pushed to the ring apron as Owens starts celebrating. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins ran down to the ring and attacked the champion to get the match disqualified. Reigns lost via disqualification.
Mick Foley came down to restart the match. Roman Reigns was in the driver’s seat by delivering a sit-out powerbomb. But, again all of the sudden Rusev came down to the ring to cause the distraction. Owens took the advantage by hitting the pop-up powerbomb to win the main event of WWE Raw and thereby keeping the main event at Clash of Champions a one-on-one affair. Rusev finished off this week’s WWE Raw by locking in the Accolade on Reigns.
