WWE Raw Preview (07/09/20): Randy Orton, Clash of Champions Buildup

Can anyone stop Randy Orton this Monday on Raw?

Randy Orton was victorious in a Triple Threat match last week on WWE Raw to become the challenger for the WWE Championship, yet again. Now he has his sights set for Drew McIntyre at Clash Of Champions in a rematch. There’s nobody who could stop The Viper, at this point. McIntyre is out of action, thanks to three Punt Kicks from him. We wonder if the champion makes a comeback to stop his ruthless aggression.

Asuka has won back the WWE Raw Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2019 and her feud against Sasha Banks-Bayley is over. She is looking forward to receiving a newer opponent, down the line which is yet to be determined. Mickie James and Natalya already had a face-off with her for the challenger’s spot and it is likely that a singles action will determine who would be next in line for Asuka.

Triple H: 14-Time WWE Champion To Have Retirement Match Against AJ Styles?

Shayna Baszler could also be an option for the contender’s spot considering her history with Asuka but she’s now busy enjoying her tag team title reign with Nia Jax. These two had a successful title defense against Sasha Banks and Bayley on SmackDown who will now move on to new opponents. The team of Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott have already become the new contenders and it should kick-off a fresh feud over the titles on WWE Raw.

Rey and Dominik Mysterio have been involved in a feud against Seth Rollins and Murphy. They were likely to vanquish the two heels but now Rey has been out of action, courtesy of a torn triceps. With his father being out of action, the future seems uncertain for Dominik but hopefully, he will be inserted into a new storyline and thus will continue to be on TV.

Retribution made their presence felt on WWE Raw, last week when they beat down Andrade, Zelina Vega, and more. It seems like the faction is gradually growing their strength, day by day, and a force is needed for payback purposes. Will they continue to make their presence felt on the show? We’ll find out when tonight’s episode airs from the ThunderDome.
