Four years ago, the WWE brought Renee Young to the company for the sole purpose of interviewing superstars. Since then, she has earned an incredible popularity among the audience. With this, she got her own talk show ‘Unfiltered’ on the WWE Network. She is a common face on almost all the pre-shows before all the PPVs. Furthermore, she was brought to the Total Divas reality TV series as WWE wanted to use her popularity there too.
Now, it perhaps was the right time to involve her into a storyline. Two weeks ago, we saw her slapping the Miz for making personal comments about her love life with Dean Ambrose. The segment got viral on the internet since it was the first time that Renee was indulged in an in-ring segment.
The latest reports suggests that Renee will take a pivotal role in the feud between The Miz and Dean Ambrose. Even Renee herself indicated in a recent interview with Booker T that the day is not far away when we see her in action.
“With anything with WWE, you’ve got to be prepared for anything. How do I know Vince isn’t going to call me and go, ‘hey, PS, you’re going to be in the eight-woman tag match – you’d better know how to throw a dropkick’? Do I have any training under my belt? Absolutely not.”
The latest happenings on Smackdown suggest there will be a match between Dean Ambrose and the Miz for the IC title at the Royal Rumble PPV and of course on this upcoming week’s Smackdown. Renee might be seen standing on Ambrose’s corner for the very first time.

This justifies Renee’s comments from the conversation with Booker T where she stated she loves to be on the side of Dean Ambrose all the time while traveling with WWE production. Here’re her comments:
“I think it’s great because, I mean, if I wasn’t on the road with him, and, I mean, there [are] tons of relationships here in WWE. We just have a different understanding. I see what he’s going through. I understand there are times when he needs to take a moment and be in his Dean Ambrose mode and do his thing.
“But, I mean, for the most part, we have our own memories we get to create being together all over the world. We’ve shut down hotels and hotel bars all over the world. So it’s so awesome we get to do that.”
