WWE Smackdown 26/3/15 – AJ, Paige and The Bella Twins sound off on WrestleMania clash
AJ Lee entered the arena. Footage from last week’s Monday Night Raw was shown where Divas Champion Nikki Bella def. Paige. The Divas Championship is the sole prize that will not be contested at this year’s WrestleMania. So it’s only fair that Nikki Bella gave Paige, who’s been boondoggled out of the butterfly-emblazoned title twice now, a third and final shake to kick off a third run with the Divas division’s signature hardware on Raw. That she allowed Paige and AJ Lee, who’ll team up against both Bellas at WrestleMania, to choose which among them would get the match in the first place was a blatant divide-and-conquer scheme on the champion’s part. But the plan seemed doomed to fail after The Diva of Tomorrow battled her way into a stalemate, writhing free of the Rack Attack to hit Nikki with an (ultimately unsuccessful) Ram-Paige.
AJ told the fans that they had seen her doing a lot of stuffs in WWE, being a diva, being a General Manager, being everybody’s girlfriend, but most importantly, being the longest reigning Divas’ champion all of time. She loved the Divas’ title and so did Paige, and Bellas tried to turn them against each other. They had a plan and she waved kudos to them as it worked. But because of them at WrestleMania, she was going to stand up as the winner and she was going to beat them. The only question she had if she was doing it alone, she asked Paige if she wanted to join her at WrestleMania to face the Bellas.
Paige came out to the arena. Paige said that AJ could try to skip past whatever happened, but she could not fool anyone. It had been nearly a year since she debuted to WWE the night after WrestleMania and won her championship from AJ. She knew that AJ did not want her to have it back and it was obvious.
AJ said that it was not the problem. She might want to be the champion and when she wanted something, she got it. But it was not the time for that, now it was time for WrestleMania, and since they were threating each other, they were no threat to the Bellas. Paige said that she could not trust her because she might try to screw her over.
AJ said that such a did not happen because she hated losing, and Paige was just like her, she was stubborn and weird as hell and completely out of her mind. But she hated to lose to. And that was why they could not let the Bellas win. Paige agreed and proposed to be tag team partners.
They were about to shake hands as the Bella twins entered the arena. Nikki said that whatever they did, they could not them at this Sunday.
Despite an altercation on Raw Monday, AJ Lee and Paige once again found a common ground on SmackDown — namely a need to beat The Bellas at WrestleMania.
Divas Champion Nikki and her sister Brie soon interrupted, sparking an intense verbal exchange between the battling beauties. This verbal altercation left little doubt that The Show of Shows Divas tag team showdown will be all business
