Ziggler was in need of a desperate win, to say the least, and he got one against Sheamus. After the match, Baron Corbin came out to cut a promo about his match against Dolph at the Extreme Rules PPV by saying that he will kick ass on Sunday night. But, prior to that Dolph Ziggler prevailed on WWE SmackDown with a super-kick to The Celtic Warrior for the victory.

The result of the contest predictably turned out to be a disqualification after everyone in “The Family” and “The Club” engaged in a brawl at the finishing of the match. After the DQ ending, Jimmy & Jey battled Gallows & Anderson throughout the arena. Styles and Reigns proceeded to not only smash their steel chairs together in a thunderous collision and strikes to each other. The Big Dog stood tall inside the squared circle to close WWE Smackdown.
