With Wrestlemania 39 season in full force, Roman Reigns is back on board on WWE Smackdown and for the first time ever, he will come face-to-face with his next opponent, Cody Rhodes in the headliner segment.
For two weeks in a row, Rhea Ripley will be present on the Friday night show, this time to compete in a match against Liv Morgan. In another women’s division match, Ronda Rousey will be in action in a tag team match to continue her ongoing beef with Natalya when the March 3 episode of WWE Smackdown airs from the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.

Following what transpired at WWE Elimination Chamber, Roman Reigns has to take care of things about The Bloodline. Jey Uso is still not seeing eye to eye with his family members over them disowning Sami Zayn. Last week, Jey looked on from the crowd allowing Sami Zayn to deliver a Helluva Kick to Jimmy.
With Roman Reigns returning to WWE Smackdown, his Wrestlemania 39 opponent Cody Rhodes has also declared his presence on the show. There has been anticipation of when the two would finally share the same ring and that moment will finally come tonight.
This past Monday night on Raw after picking up a win over Alpha Academy’s Chad Gable, The American Nightmare took the microphone to let everyone know that he’ll be on WWE SmackDown with the following comments,
“He is on ‘SmackDown’ this Friday, and I am ecstatic that Roman Reigns is on ‘SmackDown’ this Friday because I’ll be there too.”

WWE Smackdown Preview (03/03/23): Ronda Rousey in action
There’s no confirmation, yet on whether Ronda Rousey will indeed be gunning for WWE Women’s Tag Team championships at Wrestlemania 39. But for the time being, WWE is putting efforts to make her look like a legit tag team performer by aligning Shayna Baszler with her. On WWE Smackdown, these two will compete in a match against Natalya and Tegan Nox.
Since coming back following Royal Rumble 2023, Rousey and Baszler have been involved in a feud against Natalya. Last week, Baszler defeated Nattie in a match and pounced on her for a post-match attack with Rousey. Nox made the same by shoving Rousey off the ring. This set of altercations has set up this week’s match.
WWE Smackdown Preview (03/03/23): Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan
The 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble Match winner Rhea Ripley has her sights fully set on the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship held by Charlotte Flair. Moving on from Beth Phoenix following Elimination Chamber, she’s building up the feud with Flair by appearing on Friday nights.
Ripley alongside Dominik will be there, this time for a match. As announced by the WWE, The Nightmare will face Liv Morgan in a singles contest. Interestingly, Ripley and Morgan had been former tag team partners before Ripley turned heel on her to join Judgment Day, last summer.
