Royal Rumble fallouts will be presented on this week’s episode of WWE Smackdown where Ronda Rousey is set to be the headliner. The Women’s Rumble match winner of the 2022 edition will make her debut on the blue brand to reveal her Wrestlemania opponent. Paul Heyman will also be on the show to speak about his betrayal to Brock Lesnar at The Rumble when tonight’s episode takes place at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

During the show-closing segment on the post-Royal Rumble edition of WWE RAW, Ronda Rousey made her return to WWE’s weekly programming after an absence of more than three years. She was there to speak about her Women’s Royal Rumble win from this past Saturday.

Rousey hesitated about challenging WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch or WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair on The Grandest Stage of Them All as she has unfinished business with both of them.

WWE Smackdown Preview (04/02/22): Ronda Rousey Debuts; Paul Heyman To Reveal All 1

Rousey was quickly interrupted by Lynch, who came to the ring and was literally forcing Rousey to pick her as Wrestlemania opponent. Rousey instead took Lynch down with a judo throw. After holding her down by her arm, she said that she will give her answer during this Friday’s WWE SmackDown on FOX.

With that, it’s confirmed that The Baddest Woman on the Planet will make her first appearance on WWE Smackdown during her entire WWE tenure. Reports already claimed that she is set to challenge Flair for the blue brand women’s title. Now, Rousey might just confirm it, tonight in a face-to-face segment with the champion.

WWE Smackdown Preview (04/02/22): Paul Heyman to clarify Rumble controversy

Paul Heyman will explain why he turned on Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble during this week’s WWE SmackDown on FOX. As seen last Saturday night, Heyman got himself back with the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns who attacked Lesnar to help Bobby Lashley become the new WWE Champion. Lesnar then won the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match and picked Reigns as his WrestleMania 38 opponent on Raw.

WWE then tweeted a photo of Heyman and Reigns getting back together at The Rumble and questioned whether this betrayal was planned, all along. Heyman responded to the tweet and stated that he will reveal it all during WWE SmackDown,

“Is it really in anyone’s best interest to post conspiracy theories like this, instead of merely enjoying the anticipation until I reveal all on tomorrow night’s @WWE #Smackdown LIVE on @FOXTV @WWE @WWERomanReigns @WWEUsos @BrockLesnar.”

Lesnar isn’t advertised to appear on this week’s WWE Smackdown but he has already warned that his WrestleMania 38 match with Reigns will be a Title vs. Title match after he captures the WWE Title in the Elimination Chamber match on February 19 in Saudi Arabia. Lashley is scheduled to defend his title inside the Chamber structure against Lesnar, Austin Theory, AJ Styles, Riddle, and Seth Rollins.

Speaking of the PPV event, WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles will also be on the line. As per WWE’s latest announcement, The Usos will defend the SmackDown Tag Team Titles against The Viking Raiders. Erik and Ivar won the number-one contender’s spot by winning a Fatal 4 Way on the January 14 SmackDown episode over the teams of Mansoor and Cesaro, Jinder Mahal and Shanky, and Los Lotharios.
