Tonight is going to be an exciting night for SmackDown viewers where two matches originally set for WrestleMania 37 will be going down on a weekly episode. With main roster superstars involving in the scene, the real ‘Mania weekend is getting started from tonight. Also, this marks the final episode from WWE’s current ThunderDome setup.
The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal returns, this year which has been placed on SmackDown card for tonight. The tag team championship will be on the line with multiple teams getting involved in it. Also, one last hype will be there on the main event picture when the show airs from the Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay, Florida.

WWE is promoting SmackDown on FOX, a special WrestleMania 37 edition where as per WWE Official Adam Pearce’s announcement, Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will be going down. This used to be an annual tradition for WrestleMania with the winner potentially receiving a push following the ‘Mania season.
Pearce has announced the following participants for the Andre Battle Royal.
Akira Tozawa, Angel Garza, Cedric Alexander, Drew Gulak, Elias, Erik, Gran Metalik, Humberto Carrillo, Jaxson Ryker, Jey Uso, Kalisto, King Baron Corbin, Lince Dorado, Mace, Murphy, Mustafa Ali, Ricochet, Shelton Benjamin, Shinsuke Nakamura, Slapjack, T-BAR, Tucker. Many more names could be involved when the match actually gets aired depending on the availability of the superstars and surprises that WWE wants to have.

WWE Smackdown Preview (09/04/21): Wrestlemania face-off set
SmackDown will feature appearances by WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, and WWE Hall of Famer Edge to plug in their Triple Threat Match scheduled on Night Two. Last week, Daniel Bryan sent a message to his two opponents when he tapped out Jey Uso with the YES Lock and then pounced on them.
Edge was sent to the ring post while Roman Reigns also suffered the agony of getting locked into YES Lock as the show ended. The prior week it was Edge who stood tall hammering on Bryan and Reigns. Going by the storyline, it’s time for the champion to stand tall, this week to make everyone understand that he’s the Head of the Table.
Another special attraction for the night would be a Fatal 4 Way Match contested for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles, currently held by Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler. WWE has since confirmed the participants for the Fatal 4 Way match where challengers would be Roode and Ziggler defending against the Alpha Academy – Otis and Chad Gable, Rey Mysterio, and Dominik Mysterio, and The Street Profits – Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins.
A title change seems imminent to set up the mood for WrestleMania week. Roode and Ziggler haven’t received an opportunity to shine bright during their title reign and they might just drop the belts. The Mysterios could pick up the belts to have their big moment of holding titles as a rare father-son duo. Although, it won’t be a true WrestleMania moment since this takes place on SmackDown.
