WWE Smacksown spoilers: May 19, 2016

WWE Smackdown kicks off from Greenville, South Carolina with the Asylum hanging above the ring.
Kevin Owens def. Cesaro
Kevin Owens defeated Cesaro after an exciting match. The finishing moments came when Cesaro got distracted by Sami Zayn and the Intercontinental champion The Miz, who was present at ringside along with his wife Maryse. The Fatal-4-way match at the Extreme Rules PPV is surely going to steal the show.
Dana Brooke def. Paige
With Becky Lynch being present at ringside commentary Dana Brooke continued her winning streak in the main roster. She picked up a surprising win against Paige on WWE Smackdown. With her partner Emma getting injured, WWE creative is continuing to push Dana as they want to establish her as one of the top heels in the division.
Dolph Ziggler def. Sheamus
Ziggler was in need of a desperate win, to say the least, and he got one against Sheamus. After the match, Baron Corbin came out to cut a promo about his match against Dolph at the Extreme Rules PPV by saying that he will kick ass on Sunday night. The chance of Ziggler winning at Extreme Rules is almost zero and a veteran like Ziggler needs the spotlight before he finds himself in a spot like Ryback is.
Chris Jericho comes out next to cut a heel promo and receives heat from the crowd by trying shutting them up. The Asylum cage lowers to the ring, and Jericho attempts to continue until Dean Ambrose disguised as a ring worker jumps on him all of a sudden to deliver a beatdown. Ambrose stands tall after some kendo stick shots to Jericho. Ambrose needs the win on Sunday to keep his momentum going forward and with environment completely dedicated to him.
Big Cass and New Day def. Vaudevillains and Dudley Boyz
Cass and the tag team champions got a huge pop, as expected. Cass got a few hot tags and pinned Bubba Ray Dudley for the win. It will be interesting to see if the reigning champions are able to carry on against the Vaudevillains on Sunday.
Roman Reigns vs. Luke Gallows
The result of the contest predictably turned out to be a disqualification after everyone in “The Family” and “The Club” engaged in a brawl at the finishing of the match. Referees broke it up with Styles and Reigns left in the ring. They got chairs in hand and swung at each other while Styles’ chair dropped. But, he delivered a Pele kick and a chair shot to Reigns to drive him back off the ring. Styles stood tall to end WWE Smackdown.
