If the current reports are to be considered then WWE may be bringing ThunderDome setup to the Yuengling Center on the University of South Florida campus in Tampa, Florida. WWE had their current residency at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida on Friday from December 11, which is in the Tampa area. There is still no official word on when they have to leave the current setup but it seems the deal is up in early April.
It seems that the current ThunderDome setup for Raw, Smackdown, and the PPVs will have to be wrapped up before WrestleMania 37. Given WWE’s home base in Florida, the next location for TV tapings could be staying in the Tampa market.
In an update, F4Wonline.com has reported that WWE officials have been talking with the Yuengling Center at the University of South Florida in Tampa. No confirmation is available whether the two sides are discussing a potential residency for The ThunderDome. But we can only assume the same given the assuming the timing.

WWE’s ticketing department is still arranging flights to Tampa for the post-WrestleMania 37 episodes of Raw and SmackDown, according to the Observer. This indicates that the next ThunderDome location will be in the Tampa area, after all even after they have to leave the Tropicana Field.
MLB’s Tampa Bay Devil Rays are scheduled to play their home opening game for the season against the New York Yankees at Tropicana Field on Friday, April 9. They will continue to use this venue as their base for the entire season, afterward.
As for the new ThunderDome that is Yuengling Center, it was once known as the University of South Florida Sun Dome. The venue had a capacity of 10,411 when COVID-19 protocols had to be kept in place. The University of South Florida currently has three teams that call the Yuengling Center home – the South Florida Bulls men’s basketball team, the South Florida Bulls women’s basketball team, and the South Florida Bulls women’s volleyball team.
The 1995 Royal Rumble pay-per-view was held in the arena, along with Saturday Night’s Main Event in December 1985. They came back for SNME hosting in December 1988. (sources – Wrestling INC)
