Sunday night marked the ninth event under the Hell in a Cell chronology. For the first time ever, the Smackdown Live brand hosted the event, solely with the main event match between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens. The show took place at the brand new venue, Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. Check out the results from last night,
Rusev vs Randy Orton
This match turned out to be a dud considering the capability of these two competitors. After a back and forth going, Rusev countered a DDT attempt from Orton. But, the latter one was quick to hit his opponent with an RKO to pick up the win in the rubber match.
Dolph Ziggler vs Bobby Roode
Ziggler made a new entrance with no music but all black attire. He was about to pick up the win with a Famasser. But, Roode kicked out and connected with a spinebuster. Going forward, both men were rolling up one other. In one of the attempts, Roode pulled Ziggler’s tights to get the pinfall.

AJ Styles vs Baron Corbin vs Tye Dillinger (United States Championship match)
This match was made a triple threat one with Dillinger added to it. But, this costs the champion, as Corbin took full advantage of it. Styles had Dillinger pinned with a springboard forearm, but Corbin came from outside to put away Styles and get the pinfall. He became the new US Champion.
The New Day vs The Usos (Smackdown tag team championship match inside Hell in a Cell)
Big E and Xavier Woods represented the New Day, as Kofi remained outside of the Hell in a Cell structure. From the get going of this match, the weapons came into play with tag team tornado rules being intact. It was an entertaining match throughout with some mark out moments. In the end, The Usos connected with a double body splash on Big E to take him out. Later, they did the same on Woods with a chair on his belly to pin him and become new tag champs.
Natalya vs Charlotte Flair (Smackdown Women’s Championship match)
The historic match saw an unprecedented ending. Natalya went for a Sharpshooter early in this match. Charlotte was suffering from a knee sprain, after that. But, she was able to connect with a top rope moonsault to Nattie, outside the ring. The champion took a chair and hit Charlotte to her knees to get the contest disqualified. As a result, she remained the champion.
Jinder Mahal vs Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Championship match)
The Singh Brothers tried to distract Nakamura from the very beginning allowing Jinder to take the advantage. But, the referee ejected them from ringside. It allowed Nakamura to hit the Kinshasa on Jinder, but he grabbed the bottom rope to save the pinfall. The champion tried to escape through the crowd, but Nakamura brought him back to the ring only to be hit by the Khallas. Jinder retained his title at Hell in a Cell.
Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens (Hell in a Cell match)
Shane McMahon’s family was present at the ringside area to witness this match, and Kevin Owens tortured Shane in front of their eyes. At one point, the competitors went to the top of the Cell structure. Owens hit a pop up power-bomb on Shane on the top of the cell. Shane further sent Owens crashing through the commentary table. He went for a splash but went through a table, instead.
