Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Zelina Vega recently became a member of the legendary LWO faction that was resurrected in WWE. WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio brought this iconic faction back in the main roster with the all the members of Legado Del Fantasma becoming a part of it.
Legado Del Fantasma was a famous faction in the NXT and when it transitioned to the main roster, WWE replaced Elektra Lopez who was one of its originals with Zelina Vega who might have worked as a valet for the faction at first but after the reformation of the LWO, she is having a decent time.
Zelina Vega’s Bold Statement How the LWO Could Revolutionize Her WWE Career
After Zelina became a part of this legendary faction, she got a huge opportunity to challenge Rhea Ripley for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship in her hometown. In spite she lost the match, her big push was not continued. Zelina recently spoke on “WWE’s The Bump where she explained how The LWO could change her WWE career forever;
“The best things come when you’re not expecting it,” Vega said. “Once the LWO finally came together, cause it’s something we’ve wanted to do for a long time, now that it’s actually here and I feel the WWE Universe is so strong behind me. And mind you, they’ve only seen one side of me for a long time.
Zelina Vega Would Be Competing In The Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Zelina continued; “So I love that they’ve embraced me so much. Now it’s just this is the moment, this is the moment that I feel like could really change my career. Honestly, I remember Liv talking about that, saying there was someone that texted her saying that she was an inspiration to the rest of the locker room. One of those texts came from me.”
WWE attempted to push Zelina Vega for a number of times before and they were pretty much successful. Zelina won the first ever Queen’s Crown tournament which is the women’s version of the King of the Ring tournament. It somehow established Zelina as a main eventer but an unfortunate injury stopped her development as a top star.
After Zelina became a member of the LWO, she got a big opportunity to grow as a top star once again, and this is the first time in her career that she is getting pushed as a babyface. She might not be a big favourite to win Money in the Bank ladder match but surely she has a great future lying ahead of herself in WWE.
