Vijay Shankar will lead the 15-member Tamil Nadu squad in the Deodhar Trophy 2016/17 which will be played from March 25 to 29 at Vishakhapatnam. The team will miss out on the services of former Under 19 player Baba Aprajith and Aswin Crist. Both the players are a part of India 23 team in the ACC Emerging Cup to be played in Bangladesh.
J Kousik and Laxmesha Suryaprakash replace the duo while S Radhakrishnan, the India U19 player has been dropped from the trimmed squad.
Tamil Nadu will take on Indi Blue and India Red in the triangular tournament.
India Blue led by Rohit Sharma consists likes of Mandeep Singh, Ambati Rayudu, Manoj Tiwary, Rishabh Pant and Harbhajan Singh whereas Parthiv Patel led India Red side is loaded with stars like Shikhar Dhawan, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Axar Patel, Ashok Dinda and Dhawal Kulkarni.
India Blue will take on India Red in the first game on March 25.
The Deodhar Trophy will also mark the end of the long home domestic season which started on August 23 with Duleep Trophy, which was first ever first-class tournament in India to be played with a pink ball.
