Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has taken dramatic steps to keep his sizeable barnet in check – by installing his own private hair salon inside his plush mansion.
The Belgian international is almost as famous for his hair as he is for football, and has sported the dark, frizzy perm since moving to Everton from his homeland back in 2008.
His afro, along with his imposing 6 ft 4 1⁄2 in frame have terrorised opposition midfielders ever since, and now we know the secret behind his enduring look.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the 29-year-old has just put his house in Cheshire up for sale and it turns out one of the many bedrooms has been transformed into a ready-made barber shop, complete with mirrors and a widescreen TV.
We have no idea if he keeps a hairdresser locked away in the basement, or if he just calls for one to come round.
It was thought that Fellaini would move in the January transfer window, but it turns out the 29-year-old was offered to Chinese Super League side Tianjin Qinjian. but manager Fabio Cannavaro didn’t want the player, saying:
“He was offered to me, but I told his agent that I was looking for a different profile.”
Poor Marouane, but at least he’s got a salon in his house. There’s always a positive.
