Juventus To Challenge Barcelona For The ‘Next Neymar’ 1

Juventus have joined Barcelona in the race to sign 17-year-old Brazilian sensation Vinicius Junior, who currently plays for Flamengo, according to  Tuttosport.

The South American prodigy has been attracting a lot of interest from Europe with many suggesting that the youngster is similar to Barca superstar, Neymar.

Reports in Spain suggest that the Blaugrana forward has already been in touch with his countryman about a potential move to Catalunya once he turns 18.

The starlet cannot leave his current club until that age and has a contract with them until 2019. Flamengo have also suggested that they will not let him go for less than €30m, a pretty hefty sum which suggests he could be the real deal.Image result for Vinicius Junior

Juventus have sent scouts to watch Vinicius and were impressed by his dazzling performances for Brazil’s U17 team at a South American tournament.

The Old Lady will, of course, tempt any young star, however, Barca remain the frontrunners to acquire the coveted signature.

Vinicius has been in fine form for the Brazilian U17 side, scoring 17 goals in just 18 appearances as he continues to cement his reputation as one of the world’s finest prospects.

Should he make the move to Europe, he would be in fairly capable hands with both Juve and Barcelona renowned for getting the best out of their young talent.

The Brazilian would obviously struggle at first to break into the star-studded lineups, but as one for the future, he may just be worth the sizeable transfer fee being quoted.
