Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shahryar Khan reacted on the news that BCCI is seeking permission from the Indian government for a series against Pakistan team. PCB Chief has said, BCCI had not contacted to PCB regarding holding a bilateral series at a neutral venue.
“I got to know about this development through Indian media only, BCCI is now afraid of ICC and therefore they wants to play a series against Pakistan.”
Earlier there were reports that BCCI might give a walkover to Pakistan due to political tensions between both countries. Now few of media reports in India claiming that BCCI is seeking for permission for a bilateral series in UAE. Political tensions between both the nations have increased since last 2-3 years.
If the government gives it a green signal, the series is scheduled for later this year in UAE, which is Pakistan’s home base since 2009. Both the teams last faced each other in a bilateral series was in 2012-13 in India. Pakistan won ODI series by 2-1 and T20 series was a draw between both.
