Cristiano Ronaldo has hit the headlines once again with a truly terrible statue outside the airport named in his honour, and Twitter has wasted no time at all in rinsing the woeful bust.
The Real Madrid star rubbed shoulders with the Portuguese president and prime minister as Madeira Airport was renamed the Cristiano Ronaldo Airport in a ceremony earlier today.
Dedicating a couple of runways to the hometown hero obviously wasn’t enough, so Ronaldo was tasked with unveiling a truly horrendous statue of himself during the presentation.
Naturally, Twitter found the whole situation hilarious and wasted no time in ridiculing the bronze bust.
