Current NXT Women’s champion Asuka has been seen working in the Smackdown house shows during the promotion of WWE’s biggest show of the year; WrestleMania.

Asuka fought in an eight woman tag team match where she teamed up with Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella and Tamina Snuka and faced Carmella, Natalya, Mickie James and the current WWE Smackdown Women’s champion Alexa Bliss. Asuka, Becky Lynch and Tamina Snuka picked up the victory in this match. The match took place in a live event of Smackdown. Asuka was the one who picked up the victory for her team, she made Carmella submit with the Asuka Lock.

Speculations have already started being made that Asuka will make her main roster debut very soon. Tamina is also scheduled to make her television return soon. The addition of Tamina can make the women’s division of Smackdown really stronger.

About Asuka, it was being said that Asuka will make her televised main roster debut at WrestleMania 33. She will compete in the Smackdown Women’s championship match at WrestleMania 33 to surprise all the fans. The Smackdown women’s championship match has been moved to pre-show of WrestleMania 33.

However, there is an unfortunate news too. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said that Asuka will not make her main roster debut right now as she will be in the NXT for a while more, ‘Asuka will be in NXT for some time to come’ as Meltzer said. And we all know, Meltzer’s speculations on WWE do not go wrong so often. So it is a really bad news for the Asuka fans.

Asuka is scheduled to compete against Ember moon at the NXT Takeover – Orlando this Saturday where she will defend her NXT women’s championship against her. She can definitely compete for both titles at the same time. Paige did the same three years ago, she not only competed but won both titles at the same time. Who knows, maybe Asuka is the next one to carry both titles at the same time.
