Well this is a very sad coincidence that just a while ago, an article appeared right here wherein the story of a cricketer, namely Daniel Hughes surviving a severe hit got published. Just a few months after Late Phillip Hughes’ tragic incident, New South Wales batsman Daniel Hughes survived a similar blow to the neck that took down Phillip Hughes in November.

But unfortunately a young cricketer from Pakistan lost his precious life in the sad similar incident. A cricket match played in Orangi Town, in northwest Karachi, took a tragic turn when this teenage batsman was hit by a ball in his chest and died. According to the news item running on social media, 18-year-old Zeeshan Mohammed was struck by a ball from a fast bowler and collapsed. Doctors declared him dead on arrival. The police have however ruled out any foul play and no case was lodged.

Just a few weeks back, a young Indian cricketer also died in the Hospital after being hit by the ball. As per a report published in Rajasthan Patrika, on Sunday Morning of 28th December 2014, in Karanpur of Vallabhnagar in Udaipur Region, a local boy Ramachandra Ranjit Suthar lost his life after been hit on neck during a Local tournament, despite on wearing a helmet.

It appears that the coaches and administrators will have to ensure that the safety norms are strictly followed and every cricketer is provided with quality gear to prevent such incidents in the future.
