Kedar Jadhav played a blistering knock of 69 runs as Royal Challengers Bangalore recovered from a poor start to post 157 for eight against Delhi Daredevils in Bangalore.
Shane Watson’s decision to bat first was proving wrong when the home side was reeling at 55 for three in the 9th over, before Jadhav and Stuart Binny steadied the ship with a 66-run stand.
Chris Gayle was the first batsman to be dismissed when he mistimed a full toss from Chris Morris at mid-off where Sanju Samson took a stunning diving catch. Mandeep Singh and Watson also failed to do much with the willow before Jadhav began playing his big shots.
The right-handed batsman scored 24 runs off an Amit Mishra over to set the tone for a good total. He raced away to his fifty in only 26 balls but Zaheer Khan accounted for him in the 17th over to not let him inflict further damage on the visitors.
Jadhav scored 69 off only 37 deliveries including five fours and as many gigantic sixes. RCB’s lower could not do much with the bat, as the hosts were restricted to 157 for eight in the allotted 20 overs.
Here is how Twitter reacted to RCB’s batting display:
What a special player Kedar Jadhav has become. Or maybe he always was and we didn't find him!

Hope Kedar Jadhav doesn't get thirsty while batting. He won't get any water right now since Binny is with him at the crease.#RCBvDD
