IPL 2017: Video: David Warner Wins Heart Of Indian Fans 1

The Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner won many hearts during the IPL tie between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Lions. Warner, who was on course to complete a single, saw that bowler Basil Thampi had lost his shoe on his follow through. Warner stopped there, first handed the shoe to Thampi and then completed his single.

The incident happened on the last delivery of tenth over when Moises Henriques played a shot and ran for a single. The skipper noticed that there was an imbalance in Thampi’s follow through and he has lost his shoe. Warner just stopped near the debutant and first handed him his shoe and then went to complete his single.

With this, he won the heart of fans, as the crowd cheered for him. It was a nice gesture from Warner as there could have been the case when he could have ran himself out as well but he rather put Thampi on priority and only completed single after handing over Thampi his shoe.

The defending champions have now won the match by nine wickets and stretched their winning run in this year’s IPL.
