While one has a glance at the final scoreboard, it can be easily understood that the game was pretty much done and dusted at the half way mark.
Without skipper Steven Smith in the ranks, the Rising Pune Supergiant seemed miserable, as it didn’t take long for their run chase to be messed up. Their top order was back to the hut in no time and the middle order didn’t even put up a fight.
This dismal batting performance from Pune came after their bowlers were decimated by Sanju Samson and Chris Morris. Samson registered his maiden IPL century, as he set the platform with a classy knock. Morris towards the end bludgeoned the Pune bowlers with his knock of 38 off just nine deliveries.
The game turned out to be extremely dull and one-sided in the end. Fans on Twitter, however, were quite active and below are some of the tweets.
I love watching Sanju Samson play cricket! Hes some talent!
