According to Dailystar, rumours in Spain suggest that Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is hopeful and keen on signing the Welsh Wizard Gareth Bale from Real Madrid. The Red Devils have taken another step in landing the winger at Old Trafford as they have reserved a whopping £120 million to spend on him in the summer transfer window of 2015 inspite of Bale making sure that he is happy in Madrid.

In a recent interview Bale was asked will he move to Manchester United if he is not happy in Madrid. But he told that he is happy with Los Blancos and does not see him playing for Manchester United. He also added that “I have many more years left on my contract and I am overwhelmed by the love and support of the fans at the Bernabeu. I hope I love when we play at home. I’m having a good time, we are winning trophies and I want to continue to do this here, at Real Madrid.”

In other news, The Sun has reported that Manchester City are interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo if he wants to return to England and the club is making enquires on the Portuguese winger’s daily status at Real Madrid from his manager Jorge Mendez, said City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain.

Cristiano Ronaldo was signed by Real Madrid from Manchester United for a then world record transfer fee of £94 million in 2009. Soon, Bale broke the record for transfer fee when Real Madrid signed him from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 summer window for a whopping £100 million. Cristiano and Bale have established a great partnership at Real Madrid which also includes French striker Karim Benzema, who is in talks with Arsenal and Liverpool.
