Footage from last week’s superstar shake up had been shown at the start. The show started as Charlotte Flair entering the arena. She entered the ring and demanded a Smackdown Women’s championship match. Naomi interrupted her. She said that she had been watching her for a long time and she did not like the fact that she was begging for something.
Naomi said that she never back down from a fight so she was ready to give her a title shot and she attacked her. She drove Charlotte out of the ring.
Shane McMahon entered the arena and made a match between the two. It would be a non-title match, if Charlotte could win this, she would be given a title shot next week.
Backstage Natalya, Carmella and Tamina Snuka met Shane McMahon where they accused the authority for being unfair as they put Charlotte on the Women’s title frame. Natalya said to the others that she had a plan and she called the others to discuss the plan.
Match 1 – Six Pack Challenge to determine the no 1 contender for the WWE championship at Backlash – Dolph Ziggler vs. Eric Rowan vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Mojo Rowley vs. Luke Harper vs. Sami Zayn – These type of match scenarios are always very interesting to watch. No exception happened in this match either. It was a very entertaining match and it was booked for fifteen minutes.
The match ended with a big shocker! As Sami Zayn was preparing for the Helluva Kick on Jinder as two unknown men prevented him from outside. It looked like those are the Bollywood boys from 205 Live. Jinder Mahal quickly hit the Cobra Clutch slam on Sami Zayn and pinned her.
Everyone was shocked to see Jinder Mahal winning it. After the match, Jinder cut a promo which was good. Randy Orton entered the arena. He slowly entered the ring and wanted Jinder to leave the ring. He started cutting a promo on Bray Wyatt. Bray Wyatt showed up on the screen and he cut a promo on their House of Horrors match at Payback.

Backstage AJ Styles was getting interviewed where Baron Corbin interrupted him. AJ Styles challenged him in a match which Baron Corbin accepted.
Match 2 – Charlotte Flair vs. WWE Smackdown Women’s champion Naomi
The match was booked for ten minutes but it was not a very good match. It was slowly built and in some occasions it became a little boring. Charlotte picked up a pinfall victory over Naomi after hitting a Natural Selection.
Match 3 – The American Alpha vs. The Colons
The match followed the backlash of last week where American Alpha got attacked by Primo and Epico after their match against the Usos. Primo and Epico was not carrying their Shining Stars gimmick anymore. They were addressed as Primo and Epico Colon. Epico pinned Jason Jordan with a roll up pin to pick up the victory for his side.

Match 4 – Kevin Owens vs. Local Jobber named Gary Candy – WWE United States champion Kevin Owens came out to the arena. It was presented as Face of America Open Challenge. Owens quickly squashed Gary and picked up the win.
Main Event – Baron Corbin vs. AJ Styles
It was a great match up. The match was booked for over twelve minutes and both athletes did a good job. Baron Corbin’s improvement was really mentionable. Kevin Owens was at the commentary table during the match who did a good job in promoting his US championship match at Payback and Backlash. AJ Styles picked up the win via count out as he nailed Corbin with Phenomenal Forearm at the outside of the ring and quickly went inside as the referee made the complete count of ten.
